Some intersting informations regarding Barbara's case (from this article)

"Barbara was last seen on the evening of November 25, 2016, and two of her friends, who were returning with her from a birthday party, claimed that she fell from the Tisza bridge on the fateful evening.

(..)

On the other hand, the parents claimed that it was impossible because Barbara was afraid of heights. They also expressed their suspicion that their daughter had been kidnapped.

"The last time she was seen was on November 25, 2016, in a store in Senca, when the cameras recorded her, and that was at 9:41 p.m. The video does not show whether our daughter went to the bridge with those two boys or to the other side "said Endre Vitez, Barbara's father, earlier.

At that time, the Tisza was searched several times by members of the Serbian and Hungarian diving police units, together with dogs. In the search that lasted a month and a half, the body of the missing Barbara was not found.

That version was the opposite of the one told by the boys who were with her. They claimed that she tripped and fell into the river, and the results of their polygraph are a mystery to this day. As the media reported, everyone passed the polygraph except for these two boys.

"The boys who were then examined on the polygraph gave their statements in Hungarian, while the Serbian translator conveyed it to the competent authorities. After that, we were only told that a polygraph was taken, but we don't know if the boys were caught in a lie. No one from the authorities has contacted us for five years, not a single institution" said Barbara's father earlier.

Barbara seen in Hungary??

There was a lot of half-hearted and unverified information about where Barbara was seen, and one of them in particular caught the attention of the public and the girl's parents.

What strengthened the Vitez family's belief that their daughter was alive were the videos that were broadcast on Instagram in 2018 and 2019. Namely, in 2018, groups dealing with finding missing persons first showed a video of a girl who is identical to Barbara in a night club in Hungary.

"We were convinced that it was her. She had scars on her face from chicken pox just like our daughter has. We immediately alerted the Hungarian police, but that girl was no longer at the place where she was filmed " said Melinda, Barbara's mother.

Also in 2019, a girl similar to Barbara was seen in Hungary, twice in one night club, but checks by the Serbian and Hungarian police did not yield results this time either.

Interpol was also informed about Barbara's disappearance, which still has no epilogue. Namely, since March 2018, her name and surname with a photo have been on the so-called yellow warrant, that is, on the list of missing persons who are wanted.

Even that, however, did not yield results."

From this article

"After Barbara's disappearance, an anonymous letter arrived at the address of the family stating that Barbara was drugged, raped and thrown into the river that evening. The young men who were with the girl were then interrogated on a polygraph, and although they lied to some questions, the police concluded that no criminal offense had been committed."

Was it Serbian or Hungarian police that concluded no criminal offense had been committed? Or both?
