It appears from your documents that Detective Portela worked with Burke a long time.

And, it's sure taking the judge a long time to decide on the release of the 911 call. No news is good news, I suppose. Well, assuming the detective didn't destroy the recording in a case that's "presently open, active and ongoing" (as he describes).
 
Portela is a clever one.
When did LE become interested in Badens report?
When it served a purpose.
Then the idea is dismissed.
When did LE ever say Shannan's case was being treated as a homicide?
When it served a purpose.

It seems as though Detective Portela is very concerned about confidentiality of an investigation. I just wonder why he would tell a person that Leanne identified as a possible suspect that she said could possibly be the LISK? Any thoughts on this?

Leanne offered to hand over her client list.
I think it has more to do with the list than the tip itself.
She could single handedly bring down alot of people if the list ended up in the wrong hands.
I dont know whos hands that would have to be?

I was thinking the same thing.. what the heck is going on here? What a contradicting clusterphuck. So basically, according to PP, the 911 tape cant be released because of what was found in badens report, thus maintaining the active investigation stance. Wtf
 
We always return to the same old questions - how do we know anything to be true? We still don't know for 100% certainty Oswald acted alone shooting JFK. It has been over 2000 years and billions of people around the world are still arguing Jesus is not the Son of God.

We know Portela told LH that Leanne told him (Portela) LH was a suspect for LISK because of her personal experiences with LH. Do I know that with absolute certainty? I can tell you that Leanne pretty much tapes everything on her phone and text messages and I am under the belief an apology was made to her for exposing her as an informant.

Regarding Stephan. I have another beauty of a situation where Stephan steps in and tries to shape a suspect with their usual BS. I might put it on The Grudge Report and hope you understand what it means.
 
Not only are many of the detectives in SCPD LIARS, they have been proven to be LIARS, witnessed by the fact The Liar in Chief has admitted to being a liar and has implicated at least 10 others in the PD and DA office to LIE for him.

We have since learned enough to believe that Burke and LH were boating buddies who were often seen on the waters at Oak Beach.

A prominent attorney who just won a case told me he was amazed on how they conduct business in Suffolk. They can have a perfectly good case and still find the need to LIE, thus putting the entire case in jeopardy.
 
Whether he apologized or not is irrelevant imo.. another rabbit hole point. What is an important point and must be taken seriously, is a detective, whos supposed to honor confidentiality, chooses to out the CI, to the potential POI the CI called in the tip on. Thats a major problem regardless of what you think about JR and the CI.
 
VAPOR, what we do know is LH became aware Leanne gave him up to the cops as a POI.
 
Am I correct? A judge decides if John Ray will be privy to what SG said on a call she made 8 yrs ago?
What scenario would allow a judge to deny him?
An ACTIVE investigation? Thats laughable.

I posted this link because I wanted to show that prompt release of 911 calls in high profile cases is not unusual. The school shooting is still an active investigation as far as I know. One way police forces build trust and community confidence is through open and honest communications.

So I was looking for additional news abut the judge ordering Shannan's call transcripts to be released and came across this article. It is a couple of years old,but it includes some information I had not read before. Someone refresh my memory, what is the consensus about Richard Dormer's role? Was he part of the Suffolk Police corruption? I hope the 911 call is the beginning of solving Shannan's murder.
 
You can be sure the right judge was picked to hear this case. They wanted to put this off for as long as possible because they didn't have the energy to come up with something to explain the tape. The first thing they did to stall or misdirect the effort was to have a soon to be retired detective named V.Stephan to write a letter to Newsday explaining to the paper how he heard the tape and said there was nothing worthwhile on it. Same detective is a assigned the homicide of a Peter Ghattas who ratted out Burke's neighbor. Ghattas got murdered on 9/24 after becoming known to the DA/Burke on 9/3. He didn't solve that one either even though the suspects were falling over each other.

Then there is the tape of Gary Melius being shot at the Oheka Castle. Another place Burke was connected with. They hold that one up until they can take a close look at it. The thing is i am told is other people saw the tape and recognized the shooter. But that is another story.

As to Dormer, IMO he is too stupid to cover-up anything remotely as big as this case. From what I heard from many sources 'they' had something concerning him is he wouldn't dare get out of line. It concerned another much publicized case where one person was arrested while others were not. To be very candid with you folks if I had been confronted with the same situation I would have kept my mouth shut and I can guarantee you that a fellow called HAWKSHAW would have never been born.

The information I received is in the case where a cop was arrested was done because Burke wanted it done. That case was run by a detective who was very close to Burke, and that person was even closer to DA corruption chief McPartland. McPartland has since been arrested with Spota by the FBI and is awaiting trial for obstruction of justice.

Ive always felt that way to about bisset and lanieri.. but never 100% certain. It just seems like they were loose ends within this criminal enterprise and somebody wanted them silent.

SCPD says it does not have a transcript of Shannan's 911 call. The judge may compel them to share the recording instead.
