I saw that interview with Gus also, saying she called him the night Travis was killed all hysterical and crying, but I think Gus had his days mixed up and she called him the night Travis was found, because he said she didn't know how he died, just that he was dead.

Don't mind if I don't respond to your thoughts for a little while Elle, heading out for chinese buffet in a few, my hub is like a kid in a candy stores at buffets.

Great post! I agree with everything you said here.
<respectfully snipped>
There is no way in heck that somebody who is legitimately being beaten would ever peek in to her boyfriend's windows, break in to his email accounts, sneak in to his house unexpectedly and all of those other insane shenanigans she did, for simple fear of him finding out and beating her even worse. I mean seriously, just think about that for a minute. I would have fought this point pretty strongly in that room.

Exactly! The evidence shows that she followed him around on dates with other women, confronted them in the toilets, sneaked into his house, hid in the closet; illegally entered his house when he was absent, hacked into his computer accounts (possibly even bank accounts & possible scammed him); covertly parked her car a few streets away, crept into his house through the doggy door, baked cookies, then offered them to Deanna like a 'stepford wife', etc.
She obviously felt 'safe' with Travis as she showed no fear of being caught by him. Anyone suffering domestic violence would fear being bashed if discovered. She was illegally entering his house when he was away, intruding deeper into his personal world without his permission. We rightfuly ask why didn't those 4 Jury members work the evidence out?

Smooth.

great article by dr. palmatier, spot-on on so many counts, but i think she missed the boat thinking ja's allocution underscored her narcissism - ja's defense was that she was an abused woman, in constant fear of ta's next physical or verbal outburst, who finally was forced to defend herself in a life or death situation. and this is the same defense that i'm sure they plan to stick with when the case is appealed, as such ja's courtroom act, including her allocution, was perfectly consistent with the image her defense wanted to paint: a woman wrongfully accused of murder, and guilty of nothing more than surviving a physical attack that was intended to end her life. thankfully the jury saw right through this nonsense.

also, i thought is was pretty silly that dr. palmatier threw in child custody as another example of women getting away with murder in court, apparently in an effort to bolster her position - that comment was completely off-base, in so many ways, imo. and that's from a father's point of view.

Wasn't going to click "Thanks," BFF, as that comment seemed sorta insulting to men. Then I looked at DH right across from me playing what amounts to a video game, very happily. :drumroll:

And I have been trying unsuccessfully to get my DH to help me figure out why the dishwasher won't drain. But he is too busy looking up the movie times for the New Star Trek Film. :slap:
