Missed the discussion on Black Labby's on the last thread. I have one- she's turning 11 next week, still acts like a puppy! She has been hanging around me more in the last few days, even slept in my room again a couple of nights ago for the first time in a long time. I think she knows she needs to be my protector now.
Life is getting a little bit better, but busy this week. We bought a safe that is being delivered tomorrow, alarm next week. French doors after 4th of July. And a friend in Hawaii might be able to replace my black pearls and I can replace some of the other jewelry. Tonight online I discovered a site that had some vintage jewelry and I might have some other stuff I had no idea had value that they missed! Also a woman I thought was going to yell at me for parking by her house when I picked up my daughter today, instead offered to let me park in her driveway for my daughter's graduation! Kinda restores my faith in humanity somewhat. I'll be too busy this week to be here much until I get DD on the plane for Washington, D.C. Mon. morning.

LinasK did you have a break in? I'm so sorry. I don't have much jewelry, my wedding rings, my cross and a cheap Timex watch are what I wear 24/7. My wants and needs are few, and I am content with what I have. I do have several other pieces that I'll hand down to my granddaughter. I've been collecting charms for a Pandora bracelet I bought for her when she was born, and will give it to her when she leaves her mothers house. Too many things I send are broken or go missing by mom.
Anna on the other hand - has eighteen karat gold necklaces, bracelets, and brooches and rings from her grandmother Adilia ,and great grandmother Cesira, that they hid when the Nazi's were in Trestie. I think it's gaudy and tacky. She also has their fur coats. A Russian sable, a Persian lamb shawl and a long coat. Do you know what they're made from? Newborn or fetal Karakul lambs. They must be three days old or a fetal lamb, so they don't lose their black coat. It's that disgusting?

Good morning :seeya:

More saints going home. We lost another of our old friends last night. Her ninety year old husband will be lost. He was her high school teacher and they waited until she graduated to get married. They were married over sixty years.

What about one for the iPad? There are a few to buy, but I don't know if they are any good.

Grrr.........."token has expired, reload page"............

Don't have an iPad, but try putting that in the search bar for one of those app sites.

I am trying a Weblock app that seems to help. It doesn't get them all, all the time, but much better. Cost me $2.
Thanks for thinking of me, Bernina.

If you've ever tried to put on a bra with one hand/arm, you'll understand what I'm talking about. One day, preparing to go to the doctor, it took me a good 15 minutes just to get the bra on, only to realize that bras and broken shoulders don't go together. Soooo painful! It took another several minutes to get the bra off and put on a very loose shirt. Felt so sorry for anyone who had to witness the drooping *advertiser censored* phenomenon, but at that point I didn't care!

 I HATE bras too! :gaah:

regarding Harper Lee's new book - I'm going to re-read :book: "To Kill a Mockingbird" and then her new one! Loved the movie.

I am following Hannah Graham's thread too...

Oh I do remember "where" I was November 22, 1963 - in Hi School as a Junior... sad day!

See you all later!

So- how was your day? :)

I worked myself into oblivion yesterday with the weed whacker. After my morning appointments (routine bone scan and mammogram, yuck) I puttered about doing nothing important. Read a little, put hubby's pics into the computer, tossed the ball for our active girl, made doggie treats. Back to the old grind tomorrow.

BBM

I have read other accounts that it's actually been 43 years in solitary confinement, but whichever, he has already been punished far more than the worst-of-the-worst criminals have ever been (aside from the death penalty).

And unlike JA, his guilt is very much in doubt. I can't believe LA is actually challenging this judge's decision. I hope he is released ASAP.

BBM Doggie treats? What kind?

Most days I'm very busy, but I can't tell you, with what.
The days just fly by and I'm busy-busy with a little-of-this and a little-of-that. :floorlaugh:

Earlier this Spring, it was Spring cleaning. Now it's trying to finish my gardening chores before the Summer heat starts. So far, the weather
has been unseasonably cool and it's been very pleasant to work in the garden. When the Summer heat starts, I plan on being a lady
of leisure (of course, everyday I'm a lady of leisure since I retired ) and spend my days in the A/C reading some books, doing
my puzzles, and just generally being a lazy bum. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Ahhhh- this is the life. :)
