Your second link is Leviticus 19, not Leviticus 1:10-19

ETA: the first link ^^ is to Proverbs. Oh Panther, we need a rest my friend. I keep swearing i'll take time off, but hasn't happened yet. Maybe tomorrow, LOL.

PS: Ya don't think the bible I have here would have it do ya? Some days I just can't see the forest for the trees.

Anyhoo ... Leviticus 1 (too much for me to type) only goes 1-17, but it is all about burnt offerings and dismembering things :(

Yes. I know...

we all know there are two reasons why people kill. Love or money.

untrue. other reasons include:

terrorism (tsarnev brothers, eric harris and dylan klebold)
self defense (george zimmerman)
infamy/attention-seeking behavior (james holmes?)
insanity (vince li)
revenge (adam lanza?)

untrue. other reasons include:

terrorism (tsarnev brothers, eric harris and dylan klebold) ( IMO I believe there is more to such stories )
self defense (george zimmerman) Really agree with this one (although the ability to protect oneself is diminishing IMO )
infamy/attention-seeking behavior (james holmes?) ( I see more to this case also than meets the eye JMO ) and I don't fully believe this is proven as a reason to kill.
insanity (vince li) this is a good one IMO and most definitely is viable IMO although makes ones skin crawl at the thought of how many insane people are actually out there and in what positions....going unnoticed.
revenge (adam lanza?)yes this is very accurate... except I don't believe the cited 'murderer'/'case' is all it seems JMO.

We shouldn't forget the following reasons:

Power/Control ( eg.coups )
To silence someone permanently
Hatred ( oppression)

untrue. other reasons include:

terrorism (tsarnev brothers, eric harris and dylan klebold)
self defense (george zimmerman)
infamy/attention-seeking behavior (james holmes?)
insanity (vince li)
revenge (adam lanza?)

Good list, here is a link to a Correctional Services Canada research brief on murder motives.
In Canada, it distills down to just three overarching motives.
1. Expressive.....anger or desire/intent to harm
2. Instrumental.....killer wants something, sex, revenge, money
3. Gang related.....turf, initiation

Bumping my post from yesterday.

Mr. Millard’s lawyer, Deepak Paradkar, said his jailed client is a “philosopher” who now spends 30 minutes outside in a cage each day and has been reading up on the law ahead of trial.

Philosopher? Really? I guess there's lots of time to philosophize when you don't have to work for a living and get to travel all over the world on a whim.

Read all you want, philosopher. JMO

It remains unclear how Mr. Smich and Mr. Millard know each other, although a photograph has emerged of the pair outside Mr. Smich’s Oakville home. Mr. Millard’s Internet gaming profile may reveal another link: One of his friends on Steam is a user with an uncommon name spelled almost exactly like Mr. Smich’s co-accused in the overpass incident. (The man’s identity is protected by a publication ban in relation to Mr. Smich’s murder charge.)

Interesting, although we have already found this link on Steam here but not the ban on this guy's name.

According to what I read in the link I listed it considers anti social personality disorders/mental under Expressive.
For example, anger, revenge, due to things like child abuse or drug/alcohol disorder.

Marc Lepine was apparently expressing his anger. His dad reportedly had a problem with women. He was likely raised that way and expressed it.

Vince Li, apparently was very expressive and depending on who you believe schizo and

It is an interesting research paper based on actual inmate intakes I believe.

I find it interesting to note that 16 is the youngest age you can fly an engine powered plane in Canada. Yet, DM made flight history at age 14 by flying both an airplane and a helicopter in the same day. There are 7 exams to write and a medical exam ( you have to be 16 for the medical exam ) in order to obtain your pilots license.
I guess it gets easier to break the law when both your grand father and father show a complete disregard for the law and allow you to break it.

It is akin to a parent giving the car keys to his 14 year old and saying take her out for a spin son.

I wonder what MB thought about grandpa and dad allowing her son to solo a plane at 14 without the proper license. Maybe that was around the time she started giving up on having any say about raising her son.
Just my opinion.
Just trying to delve into DM's personality a little bit here.

According to Transport Canada, the minimum age for a Student Pilot Permit is 14.

The following is a list of permits and licences issued in Canada and the minimum age requirement:

OK but does that mean you can fly solo? I read ( please correct me if I am wrong ) that you could not fly solo until 16.

So someone can go and apply for a student permit and fly on the same day?

On his 14th birthday, Millard became the youngest Canadian to pilot solo both a helicopter and an airplane on the same day

wow, glad I don't live near an airport!

There was something online (maybe on one of the aviation boards) about how Carl pulled some strings to allow Dellen to make the flights and attain the record, despite his youth.
