I have lots of posts (somewhere) on Ruis and I still think it could be related, but she was a co-defendant and I can't make it add-up. I do not believe Ruis was operating the business on his own (too much $$ involved)... unless SG could testify against others associated with the money laundering/prostitution/etc... what else could she tell authorities for them to want her silenced?? ** And, would they really silence her this way?? (Long Island at JB's place?) Just doesn't make sense... but darned if I haven't tried, lol

I mean, that just seems too weird to be true?
    How does that even work?

But wow what a coincidence in regards to his last name: http://www.ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=segreto

"Segreto Name Meaning nickname from Old Italian segreto ‘confidant’ (from Latin secretum literally ‘hidden place’, hence ‘personal business’, ‘secret’). occupational name from medieval Greek ek sekreton, literally ‘from the hidden place’, i.e. ‘financial administrator’, likewise a derivative of Latin secretum."

If you watched 60 Minutes a few months ago you would have seen a whopper of a story how the federal government/Social Security has declared hundreds of thousands of citizens DEAD! Not only are they 'dead" they have a hard time coming back from the grave that they never got to.

Most of you know by now how I got to this Board. I got here because Tom Spota and his consort James Burke framed my son in law. That Burke used his neighbor, Joseph Careccia, a very serious criminal to feed him lies to tell to a jury. I recently found an obituary for Joe Careccia that was posted out of Arizona, near or about 1/18/16. I DON'T BELIEVE IT TO BE TRUE!!!

Careccia pops up in a criminal enterprise ....I find him. Spota protects him. He is into mortgage and bank fraud. I believe I expose him to the Florida authorities. Spota sends him off to Arizona. He opens up a used car business and uses an alias of Joe Colombo.

Check out Careccia's obit and tell me what you think. You should be able to find it if you GOOGLE : Joseph Careccia - Arizona.

Joe made a lot of enemies in his short life of 42 years and now some of them are back in the game. The least of his troubles is me.

If you check this out it MAY give you some idea how and why this can happen - fake deaths.

WEIRD, you say? that is why it works so well. Who could possibly believe these things could be true. When I began writing about these criminals we were still years away before James (BOP#87450-053) Burke was put in a jail cell as a 'danger to the community'. His friend Jimmy H is on his way to a federal prison as soon as the FEDS decide what to do with him and how much jail time he should get.

These two miscreants are the two pieces of garbage from Spota's "Criminal Enterprise" ( see Suffolk CE Bellone ) that lied and obstructed justice by lying and getting people to lie in my son in law's case - AND WHAT HAS ANYONE DONE ABOUT IT !!!

I had decided to not comment anymore, lol, I get lost in the back and forth and can't separate facts from old reports, but. Dunno like reading here among the repeated stuff is some good readings. Problem with that is I'm always wanton ng to comment on what I read but don't want to be torn down by the know it all's, lol, no offense to anyone. After reading over what's been being discussed lately I am drawn to comment again. First, Deedee, you asked me about rumors and I'm guessing you meant particularly the question of Bittrolff working on a house in oak beach. There is a rumor about that and if that was alleged t was I would be discussing it on my blog I'm sure, but I heard straight from the person who's home was worked on that t happened. So unless I was lied to, it isn't just a rumor. And I understand why people want me to say more about this, but I feel it's for the person who I spoke with to reveal it. And from what I was told they went to LE with it. I am definitely not putting it out here, again no offense. I do hope it come out because I would love to discus it.

Also, I tried to contract the person who told me they were with Mari that day they knocked on Brewers door. The one who told me the so called drifter answered. They have not returned any of my emails, which sucks because this person seemed to have a lot of information about this case. I did get a hold of another person that was there that day, and they told the person who answered the door that day was just a renter and not connected to any of this. They also told me to stop chasing the rumors. So there you have it, or I guess you don't. People say different stories, it makes it way through the internet and a simple thing like someone answering the door becomes urban legend. And again I can't help but think is it rumor or straight up lies. Most of these rumors can be traced back to someone... so the question then becomes are they liying. So if this person s being honest. There is nothing to the "Lenny" thing.

One last thing, when I last posted everyone was discussing the Hackett calls, I tried to explain the confusion and hearsay when it comes to those calls and I was told there is no confusion. So imagine my amusement when I came back today and read some of the latest discussion. From what I gather from all the stories and facts on the calls. Doc made at least one to Mari and either forgot or lied bout making the call. But Mari said there was more than one, which led to questions of what was said in each call and if some of the calls came from others. There has been discussion of "spoofed" calls for a while. The person who told me that the person who answered the door was just a renter and not to chase rumors also told me they had had their calls spoofed. MM7 claims her aunts phone was spoofed. These are just a few examples, but spoofed calls stories have been making the rounds for a while now. There was also discussion of Oak beach phones crossing sometimes. So yes, there is lots of confusion when it comes to the Hackett calls, I guess I can say that now.

It is not unusual for an serial killer to escalate. Over time, they see what excites them, what interests them, what is too risky etc etc.

IF and of course it is an IF LISK became a deflesher he might well have started out with a different MO. So Fire Island Doe does not present an issue. Nor do the victims with mutilated tattoos.

The thought of my team is that tattoos mean a lot to this guy, and not in a good way. We could of course be wrong. But the calls to Melissa's sister and Blaze point us in that direction.

Ok, this sounds nuts but so did pretty much every other thing that ended up true. I can vouch for used car business under Joe Columbo (it's always just one more thing) because I found that link as well and there's some legal documentation I located (and can no longer find) tied to that business because he got in legal trouble for ripping people off- but somehow never got held responsible for it in the end. Almost like he's a protected witness or informer, yeah? He keeps getting busted and he keeps getting a "get out of jail free card". So maybe you are right about him not really being dead, hawk.

Um, edited to add I read the obit and agree it looks fake AF. As in not even trying. Can anyone just go in and add one online?

If she was brought out to Oak Beach for a hit job why would they have ever let her leave Brewer's in the first place and go running around the community screaming? It's a hard story to buy.

Hawk, your post sparked a memory. I should have been clear. Sometimes I get ahead of myself. I saw 20/20 or a show like it. It was about a used car salesman in Arizona. Im pretty sure it was Joe Colombo. He was ripping everybody off. People started turning him in. It got so bad that it earned him air time. He was exposed.

DeeDee, The scam happened in Arizona and was publicized there with the local TV stations. The Joe Colombo you are talking about it actually Joe Careccia. Colombo is the surname of his wife/girlfriend that he has been with for many years. I don't know what part of the country you are from but I have to think if this is the same guy then it wasn't on NY TV.

DeeDee, I just looked at the story and that is JOE CARECCIA. He is the James Bond of Thieves as it appears as though the FEDS are giving him a license to steal - at someone expense. He opened up the same business in Florida after he was driven out of the mortgage/bank fraud business. When he got kicked out of Florida and had to go back to LI, he did a 'last hurrah' by using Gina to do a parting mortgage scam with a house located on 310 Pine Bluff Road, Royal Palm Beach, FL.

The way I see it is he could only get away with this is if the FEDS let him do it. He robbed a guy out of 15 cars and two tow trucks in Florida and threatened to kill him if he made a complaint to the cops. That guy did just that and Joe sent a drug dealer to rough the guy up. According to this guy who wrote to me is he had a slam dunk case on Carecca. Nothing happened, but that victim's tormentors disappeared like a fart in the wind. He sent me a letter thanking me for that.

This is the SAME guy that was Burke's neighbor from 1998-2002. This is the same guy that was mentioned by an informant of being in charge of a major burglary ring and when the informant was brought to the DA office where Burke ran the show that guy was murdered only 3 weeks later. That case remains unsolved to this day - 9/24/03. The detective that had that case is the same detective that wrote the letter to Newsday and said he heard the SG 911 tape and he didn't think she was afraid of being killed..

I wasn't trying to sell it. Heck, I don't even buy it. :)

But, there's always something that has nagged at me about the prostitution/money laundering/drug "enterprise" Ruis was managing... but as I said in my post... I've never been able to get it to add-up. I just mentioned him again because I wondered if the "Blake" in Kolkers' book might have met SG thru Ruis, and I've always wondered about the first stop SG made before Pak drove her to Brewer's house. (Was it another out call, or something else?) Just a few things I ponder.

Oh, something else... I noticed several of your posts regarding the terrain where SG's remains were found. I can understand shoes being pulled from feet in swampy, thorny, muck but I can't buy the idea it pulled her pants off. What are your thoughts on this point??

Shannon was a co-defendant in the Ruiz case. This linked article states:

Gilbert has a standing indictment in Hudson County as a co-defendant in a case concerning First Professional Referral Services, the escort service where she was allegedly employed, on charges of conspiracy and promoting prostitution, DeFazio said.

The main defendant, Joseph Ruis, was convicted of money laundering and sent to state prison on a five-year sentence, DeFazio said. Ruis has since been paroled.

As much as I love a good conspiracy theory .....

Although whatever reason this man liked to go by the name Gus Colletti to his friends. .... He is not our Oak Beach... Gus.

A quick check and research of this other mans family, which can all be easily found through searches on FB, Radaris, spokeo etc..

This mans background: Birthday 6th November, He was a musican, played in bands, organised gigs for other bands and ultimately set up his own DJ and special events company which he passed on down to his Son Daniel .....who also likes to use the last name Colletti on occassion too for whatever reason. I think it may have more to do with the Mothers side of the family where they are using a hifenated last name to include her maiden name...if that makes any sense.....

    http://collettigroup.com/users/awp.php?ln=723937

    Anyways....

On a serious note ..... Mr A T Sxxxxx widow has a picture of her deceased husband...with lots of comments from friends and busines people who all remember him fondly and share in her loss...... And it is most definately NOT our Gus Colletti from Oak Beach.

Our Gus can quite easily be researched as having been along time resident of Oak Beach ..... and no shrinking violet ...he has a high internet search footprint dating back decades due to his associations and being president...getting mixed up in court cases with
    E Scalise.....etc

Anyway just wanted to nip that one before it grew legs .....
