Tiger Woods Injured in Roll-Over Car Accident in California

Tiger Woods has been injured in a roll-over car accident in California, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed in a statement on Tuesday. It is unclear what condition the famed golfer, 45, is in.

"On Feb. 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes," the sheriff's department said in the Twitter statement. "The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorn Boulevard at Blackhorse Road, where it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage."


Continued the statement, "The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods. Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life' by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries."

Wow, looks like he hit markers and hit and took out the side bottom of that tree in the median then apparently went across the median up the road and up and a hill and took down another tree. They're removing articles that were from his car into a police car now. Looks like golf clubs and some other stuff that I thought was luggage.

Seriously, he must have been going down at quite a speed to go over and clear the median, onto the southbound lanes, then jumping that curb and up the hill ! Holy cow ! He could have died in that crash.
There have been several accidents down that stretch, usually young guys/students speeding.

He took out the real estate sign and then yards away he hit the side of a tree, both were in the median.
