Also if you look at Billie and Bill's facebook pages listed above by SuziQ you will see many of their friends have changed their pictures to pictures of the couple or her and the baby. It sure seems to have been a loving little family.

What an adorable looking couple.

They look so sweet and very much in love with each other.

I hope they catch the evil person who did this and make them pay the harshest punishment allowed by law.

Knowing that they took this little baby's momma and daddy away breaks my heart.

IMO

I read in the Obituary that Bill was a coin collector. I wonder if one of a few of the coins could have been taken without anyone realizing it? If it was just one gold coin it could be worth thousands. I hope they've alerted any coin or pawn shops.

Will be a double service, what a precious family picture and a precious little boy, Tyler Dean who will grow up without his moma and daddy. Such a senseless tragedy!

I agree Ocean. I was typing almost exactly the same thing as you at the same time.

Billy Payne's obituary states he had two sons. One is living in Florida. So that's two little fellas growing up without their daddy. So senseless.

Billie Jean's sister seems to be taking this pretty hard. Bless her heart.

The look in the babe's eyes is heartbreaking. Such sadness and confusion. He saw his mommy brutally murdered. In years to come he might not consciously remember the events, but those eyes tell me they will live on in his subconscious forever. God bless him and guide him and surround him with positive support.

Somebody has to know who had this much anger and rage and one or both of these people.

They sure came armed bringing a knife and a gun. That sounds like 2 people to me. They should be able to tell if the person was right or left handed. You can't use 2 weapons at once I wouldn't think.

That sweet baby laid in his momma's arms for 4 hrs if they think it happened between 5:30 and 6:30. Thank goodness the man came for his mail that day.

The guy that came to pick him up for work just knocked on the door and then left after no answer. Why didn't he call? At all? And their auto had been loaned out? They didn't mention who the guy was who found them.

One article said in the neighborhood there was also a state trooper. Strange that no one heard anything.

If I lived in that neighborhood I'd be afraid too. Who knows who did this!? :(

This part seems so sadistic.

What investigators do know is that it was a grisly discovery made by a family friend just after 10:30 Tuesday morning inside the home on James Davis Lane. "Both individuals were shot in the head. Mr. Payne's throat was cut [and it] appeared to be post-mortem," said Sheriff Reece.

The neighbor woman in the one video was saying these types of things don't happen around there. Not true....just google Johnson Co, TN, murder, or Topix. Here's just one example, and their son was also killed in another triple murder that happened.
Also of note, Reece said that clark's son-in-law was one of the three people murdered by Frederick Hammer ( who they now think is a serial killer!) at a tree farm in Grayson County, Va. .......Just a few miles NE of Laurel Bloomery in VA.
His parents were murdered a year ago only 11 miles from the current couple--- in the sleepy community of Laurel Bloomery, TN.

Well, so this murder was a revenge killing? Because the husband had shot one of the guys previously when they robbed the couple, in 2010?......I guess that would explain why the husband was not only shot but had his throat slit too!

That poor couple. Trying to live their lives in a peaceful existence and three drug crazed individuals attack them. :(

What a tragic ending to long lives.

May you RIP Mr. and Mrs. Clark.:rose:

I live about 20 min from Mountain City,TN and have been following this case. I am so glad the TBI caught those who were responsible for this horrific and senseless murder.

TWO CHARGED IN JOHNSON COUNTY DOUBLE MURDER
Johnson County, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office have charged two individuals responsible for the murder of a Mountain City, Tenn. couple found shot to death in their home one week ago today.
Jamie Lynn Curd, 38, of 2358 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, Tenn. and Marvin "Buddy" Potter, Jr., 60, of 727 Hospital Road, Mountain City, Tenn. were both charged overnight with two counts of first degree murder after a week long investigation. The morning of Tuesday, January 31, 2012, 36-year-old Billy Payne and 23-year-old Billie Jean Hayworth were found shot to death in their home located at 128 James Davis Lane, Mountain City, Tenn. The couple’s eight month old baby was found in Hayworth’s arms when the bodies were discovered, but was not injured. The couple lived there with Payne’s father who left for work at approximately 5:30 am. The investigation and evidence revealed that Curd and Potter entered the residence and shot Payne in the head in the bedroom and Hayworth in the head in another bedroom used as the baby’s room. Thanks Adonica I was just coming here to post this.

And this is the reason??????

Last year, Payne and Hayworth made complaints against Potter’s daughter for harassing and making threats
against them by telephone and over the internet. Curd, who is Payne’s second cousin, went to court in defense
of Potter’s daughter last year about the accusations.

From Adonica's link above...how stupid! Does Tenn have the death penalty? I hope so.
