Prayers that Holly is found today!

I have to give this community so much credit. The volunteer search turnout has been phenomenal and LE are definitely on a mission to find her.
Isn't Tennessee called the 'Volunteer State"? Wow..I see why!

I wonder if LE has gained any access to a computer in the home? her computer, her brother's computer, etc. Perhaps someone she has been talking to online?

I believe they have she has almost 700 FB friends.
Some of the kids in the pic are wearing camo the guys and girls its a common thing i guess there.

that's why i'm thinking perp had a vehicle waiting on the road somewhere.

eight miles sure is a LONG way to travel with a screaming girl on foot,

I'm thinking if they were on foot and they were traveling through the woods, Holly would have tried to get away at some point.

I am about to leave Memphis for Holly's area in a little while.
With discussion with my friends/family our current thoughts are: that the perp was watching Holly for a substantial period of time.
That he used a stolen vehicle to take Holly, thus no id on who he is.
That the car was parked beyond the treeline.
That the car was found abandoned because he had an atv of some type waiting with provisions at the spot where the car was found.
We believe he tossed her lunchbox out the window on the way into a roadside ditch which was filled with water from all the rain.
He ducttaped her to keep her from fighting and she is still alive.
I think that he intends to keep her as his own and had a place picked out to keep her way in advance, such as an underground area that could be accessed from a cave opening.
There is an avid geocaching group around this area, especially LadyFinger Bluffs. You can google LadyFinger and it will come right up.
Also there are many springs in that area that have superb drinking water so that would be easy to get.
A stored amount of deer jerky and even ramen noodles would be sufficient for them to eat.
This is all my opinion after long discussions with family and friends in Holly's area, and is no expert opinion by any means.
I have strong faith in TBI and all TN LE!!
The geocaching angle in one that should be explored further, as in the Duncan case in Idaho. I believe he was very into geocaching.
Praying Holly hangs tough and stays calm and God will bring her home.
Hunkered down knowing that it could be some time as this area is very densely forested and this man was IMO very prepared before he made his move.
I don't think he is listening to the radio or tv. A scanner is a good possibility.
He is living out his plan.

What about any hunting buddies of the current boyfriend or ex (if there is one). Also, if there is an ex, then does he have a hunting buddy who would retrieve her for him as a favor?

If it's an obsessed ex, then does he also have tender feelings of protecting her life mixed in with the rage of her leaving him for someone else?

In that case, I can see him wanting to get the heck of Dodge with her and holing up somewhere as far away as possible.

In that case, she could still be alive.

I always think about that case where the survivalist guy grabbed the girl from the bus stop, then built an underground bunker and covered it with plywood with leaves on top. LE walked right over the thing several times. The girl said she could hear helicopters and footsteps. The thing that saved her was getting to the cell phone. Arkansas, I think.

Here's the case, it's South Carolina, 2006:

A teenage girl in Lugoff, South Carolina, who was abducted from her bus stop and taken to a booby-trapped, underground bunker on a hillside, used the man's cell phone to text-message her mother and give her location, according to police.

Investigator said the 14-year-old victim was taken from a bus stop 12 days ago and held captive by wanted sex offender, Vincent Filyaw, 37, in a primitive bunker located 1 mile from her home.

Authorities said from the outside, the bunker looked like just a hole in the ground. However, inside there were lights, a working stove and food, according to police. A homemade ladder led to the living area.

Police said while Filyaw was clever enough to booby-trap his hideout, he made a critical error and let the girl get her hands on his cell phone

Yes concentric I think this is exactly that sort of case.
This man isn't stupid. He understands enough about LE and criminal investigations to stay off their radar.
It's been since Wednesday morning and he has still managed to allude them.
I believe he planned this for some period of time and was completely prepared to keep the two of them alive for as long as it takes until he can move to another area.
This man has more than a highschool degree IMO and he is older than Holly.
I don't believe he is dumb or a convicted sex offender and he has been living in the place he is now hiding her in for months possibly. He may not even have a criminal record.

Exactly peeples!!!!
I don't see a young man involved in this.
Could be someone old enough to have been a teacher at one time.
Probably in his 30's IMO.

A few thoughts here.....first TY to all who are posting media links to what little information we are getting!

I am certainly not pointing any fingers, but I'm going to state the obvious. Dragging, and walking or being led into the woods are 2 entirely different things. Of course it IS possible that it was initially not worded correctly whether by brother, LE, reporters, or even a combination of these Still, I'd love to have some clarification on that.

Even if only back of the person in the camo was seen, and from far away...wouldn't brother still have a fairly good idea of who it was if this person was the Ex? When you are familiar with someone you know how they move, act, their hair, etc. Just seems odd that no one has been identified as even being a possible POI. Has anyone had contact with the Ex who she has a RO against, or not? We aren't getting that information for whatever reason. But, it has to be there. If there was a car found...WHO's is it???

Know how some cases just touch your heart, and you are compelled to keep up with developments?

This is one for me. I don't always do it, but I prayed for this girl and her family last night and this am. On the list of things planned for today when I woke checking for Holly Bobo info was right there at the top. I wish I could hug and give some type of consolation to her family. What a living hell they must be experiencing.

It makes you wish that we could see into the hearts of others, ya know? One of the things that keep me going here on WS, and even before joining is that even if the outcome is not good that the perpetrator is caught, and justice is served heartily. I know it's unrealistic, but I feel with newer crime investigation techniques that hopefully ALL perps are caught! When that is truly the case maybe, just maybe those who are inclined will no longer commit horrible acts as they KNOW they'll be caught. Wishful thinking I understand, but it IS my hope. In this case I sincerely hope that whoever took her was obsessed enough that they just want to keep her, and not harm. OK, I'll step off my box now. ♥

Police said they found Bobo's white lunch box by a creek about eight miles from her home. Authorities also said searchers found some other items belonging to Bobo, but didn't specify what the items were.
"We've got a new place of interest," said Lt. Brad Wilbanks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol "We're going to keep looking. Yes, ma'am. No one's slowing down."

1. Probably because the brother Does Not know who took Holly
2. this is just a RUMOR about an ex & a restrianing order; as fas as I know no Ex boyfriend or RO exists.
3. There was no car found

(LE isn't doing this in this particular case) But why do some people in LE sometimes think people in the public who comment on cases are a bunch of idiots with nothing to do but watch crime dramas and fabricate some bizarre scenarios for fun?

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Thanks for this! :great:
Now that the bad weather has passed am so hoping they find her today.

I've been so wrapped up in the Caylee and Hailey case that this just got on my radar last night.

I heard there was blood found, but the media didn't say where?

Why go into the wood with anyone you didn't know? I suspect it was someone she knew (ie, ex).

I heard the story change in that she wasn't dragged into the woods but "escorted" (whatever the heck that means). Taken by the arm so to speak.

I really have no idea who the POI is at this point, but I do not believe this to be a stranger abduction. Just a gut feeling. My mind even went back to the Groene case where that monster (Duncan) was stalking the house for several days before the slaughter and taking of the children. Whomever it was knew the pattern of when she was leaving for school, etc.

Too many questions, and all just my opinion. I just pray she's alive out there.

Mel

Well if that somebody is a big strong male and she is a small female she might have had no choice.

What other items could these be? She was leaving for school so she probably had her bag of books, a purse, car keys, cell phone etc. Or did she put these in the car before she was taken? Perhaps unlikely since they did find the lunch box.

If not these items, then what other items? Clothing items?
