Oh no. They need to check any nearby source of water ASAP.

Oh no, I pray he's found quickly and safely. Wonder if there are things he's drawn to and likes.
Such as cats or flowers and so on.

They sure aren't giving us many details about the circumstances of his disappearance. He was seen the night before. Does that mean he disappeared during the night? Was the door unlocked? Window open?

What a cutie. I hope the weather is ok? Are there searches going on near the water? So many questions. Be safe Joe.

Crews have set up at Garners Creek Road and 3rd Street in the Tennessee City area.

“We are actively searching,” said Fisher, adding that search teams included a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter and search dogs as well as EMA search dogs.

The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office is heading up the effort.

The Dickson swift water boat rescue team deployed at about 9:45 a.m. to search the water in “a couple places,” Fisher said.

These situations hardly ever end good. I hope this is an exception to the rule.

TBI has tweeted that the search continues for Joe Clyde Daniels.

"TBI currently has multiple Agents and Intelligence Analysts on the ground, supporting local search efforts. Our Command Post is on scene and we're also using our plane as an additional search tool."

I am on the other side of Nashville from Dickson County. We had severe thunderstorms last night and the temperatures dropped into the 30s. Temperatures are supposed to drop even lower tonight. Not good for a small child in only his pajamas.

This is too familiar to Noah Chamberlain. But hopefully lesson were learned from Noah.

poor kid, I hope he's found safe and sound soon. He could just be hiding out- non verbal children have a tendency to not trust strangers when they try looking for them- it would have to be a familiar voice to draw him out (if he's hiding, of course). Keeping fingers crossed that this is the case with Joseph.

In the video at about 1:00 minute in a family friend speaks. Just as a learning tool, listen to what she says - she's concerned for Joe, saying it's dark, he's scared he may have been running - he could be terrified by now, by himself, she's worried about ponds, etc. Those are the expected things people who are genuinely concerned about a missing child say.

Now compare what she says to statements by caregivers who turn out to be involved in a child's disappearance - it's like night and day. Guilty people are busy building alibis and showing concern about themselves while innocent people are all about concern for the child.

I don't mean to derail the thread but what this woman said was so honest and from the heart that it could be used as a textbook example for investigators (and us!) to show the difference.

Back to topic - I think it's a good sign that Joe hasn't been found in that big pond so far, especially if LE started searching it this morning. With luck he'll be found in someone's barn, snuggled up to a tractor. At least I hope so!
