Initially, it had been reported that Roseanne was last seen walking on March 25. An update on The Tennessee River Valley News Facebook page now states she was last seen by the garbage man on March 31, which is one day before she was reported missing. However, the police searched her home and found it “odd”.

Her husband had just passed away in November and it is believed possible that she was suffering from severe depression.

A registered sex offender, who is a neighbor of Roseanne’s, is being questioned.

The TBI has gotten involved. There are also plans to search the nearby waterways as there has been heavy flooding over the last week.

The investigators are obviously looking at this from several different angles as they try to figure out what’s going on.

Really not liking this one with the recent floods and how close she lives to the TN River. That, added with the RSO neighbor. :(

It’s a confusing case. Obviously, there was concern regarding her whereabouts that she was reported missing on the 1st, yet the garbage man saw her in the 31st. What was going on between the 25th (when it was initially thought that she was seen) and the 31st when the garbage man saw her? So, neighbors thought something was already wrong... but the garbage man says she was still around. Where was she then and where is she now?

There’s the angle that she may have committed suicide from severe depression from the recent loss of her husband. Did she go into the water? The cemetery? The woods?

There’s the angle that she met with an accident in the water.

There’s the angle that she was a victim of a home invasion. The search of her house was described as “odd” and it is a possibility she was a victim of foul play.

    It’s very strange.

They're still searching and will continue tomorrow. Apparently high waters have hampered their efforts. Also, person who was taken in for questioning was released.

Foul play ‘a possibility’ in case of missing Perry County woman | WKRN News 2
    [...]

Zadakaus never returned from a walk last week in the Cypress Creek Road area in Linden. Neighbors told authorities she would frequently take walks. After not hearing from her, some went to her house to check on her. When they knocked on the door, it propped open. The sheriff’s office was called immediately.

Deputies went to the home and began analyzing the property for clues. Sheriff Nick Weems says evidence found inside suggests foul play could be involved. The items were submitted to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Officials did not disclose what they were, but the home is currently blocked off with yellow police tape as a precaution.

    [...]

Investigators are also not ruling out the possibility of an accident or suicide. Roseanna’s husband Kelly died after a battle with COVID-19 in November. She had been struggling with his passing.

In the days since, Perry County sheriff’s deputies, Perry County Rescue Squad, Tennessee Highway Patrol Aviation, search and rescue teams and cadavers dogs have assisted in the search. Sheriff Weems says four different dogs have hit the same location on the river, which is directly across the street from Zadakaus’s home.

There is a memorial bench in honor of her late husband in front of that spot on the river. Swift water conditions have made it nearly impossible for a diver to search that area.

    Noting:

A neighbor who went to the home to check on her found the screen door on the porch unlocked, and when he knocked on her front door, it opened on its own.

Sheriff Weems said he learned from those who know Zadakaus that she rarely used the front door of her home, and that the screen door on the porch typically remained locked and unopened.

Zadakaus, the Sheriff said, usually used a side door to enter her home from the carport.

‘Very little hope,’ brother of missing Perry County woman fears sister won’t be found alive | WKRN News 2
    [...]

Zadakaus’s brother, TJ, describes his sister as a homebody, someone that lives a simple life and doesn’t have any enemies.

“Her neighbor, an older gentleman, she was supposed to take him to the doctor. He went and knocked on her front door and she didn’t answer,” TJ said. “He touched the door and it was ajar and it opened.”

    [...]

“Her bed was unmade, the television was on, and her purse was gone,” TJ said. “She never goes out her front door. She goes out the side door into the carport or garage. In and out. In and out. Everybody that knows her does. The front door being ajar is totally not her.”

    [...]

“At this point now, with some things I can’t talk about, I think there’s probably very little hope at this point,” TJ said.

That front door has been mentioned from the beginning. While her recent depression is concerning, the potential for foul play is high in my mind because of that door. How sad for her family.
