Three questions:
1. Why does Jenny wear the 'That Girl' hairdo?
2. Not to meant as ugly, but does DR. D color her hair? I have never seen hair that black. My
Son has black hair too.
3. Where is Weebles?

I think JW was unhappy because JM rightfully objected. JW was leading the witness into areas that aren't admissible. There ARE data points that Dr. Demarte considered like the stalking and tire slashing incidents. But that can't be admitted and JW knows it. JW was being sneaky knowing she couldn't talk about the other incidents and could selectively mislead the jury with her questioning.

If Dr. D got information from the interrogation tapes, has she been told ahead of time not to mention stalking or tire slashing as data points?

As someone who had a year and a half relationship with a bona fide Borderline Personality (forensically diagnosed after the fact by a therapist) I will share this little bit of relationship goodness.

Like a proper borderline I existed in two states to her: Hero and Villian. When I was a villian, which could happen at a moments notice, I became responsible for all her troubles, even ones that predated me. In this state she was incredibly vindictive. Remember, I didn't know she was BPD at the time and, confirmation bias aside, her behavior only makes sense within the frameword of BPD. Anyway, when she was feeling particularly slighted she would expend all necessary energy to provoke me. There was a learning curve to learning not to be suckered in by this, which was hard because she, in keeping with her diagnosis, knew what buttons to press.

One thing I refuse to do in a relationship is have "relationship critical" conversations via text message. She's one of the reasons for that. Eventually some of my exasperated texts came to a person of authority who, to their credit, recognized she was nuts. Part of their questioning what a terrible, horrible person I was was recognition that my "abusive" texts existed in isolation. She never provided the texts leading up to them, which is a great big red flag.

If you want to know how the story ends, I eventually became afraid of her vindictiveness and her knack for revenge by proxy and, after some false starts in the "I will just be your supportive acquaintance" department, I completely and utterly cut off all contact with her. Sue me, she was inteligent, charming, engaging, looked like an updated Katherine Hepburn and was bat-poo crazy.

That Wilmott is attempting to make a case that Travis was abusive, even if he used "unhealthy" language, by isolating his text that were reactions to Jodi's Borderline behavior, intrusiveness, vindictiveness and just plain crazy shows what a sac de scum Wilmott is.

Seriously, it makes you want to hand a date the MMPI and have her fill it out before the salad comes.

I've heard this story over and over and it's always the same. Guys almost uniformly report that the sex is mind blowing/fabulous, but then there is a price that must be paid.

Eventually, the BP has their partner double thinking every thought word and deed to insure that it will not set off the BP. Life becomes very small. No matter what you do or say to reassure the BP and prove your love, they will immediately move the goal posts. Their partners can NEVER win and they can NEVER be satisfied.

Man, this is worse than a trainwreck! Someone needs to stop Willmott, she is just NOT making any sense.

Let her continue what's she's doing. This is brilliant! She is on a mission of self-destruct, the jury can see what we see. Let her hang herself with all her shenanigans, and the inappropriateness of how she is handling this witness. Why do you think Juan is letting her 'blow on'?? He can see this is to his benefit. And don't forget he has a professional expert witness in Dr. D that is managing quite well and holding her own. It shows even more the disparity between the defense's experts vs. the prosecution's. I love this, it is quite evident who is gaining more ground here.

And, in all fairness, Juan's style of cross is much more aggressive, i.e., like a hammer down approach compared to Willmott's childish, giggly, style...hers is not effective, his is the bomb!

Nope, that number is correct. I haven't got raw data in front of me, but several cases and just plain "normal" folk, text like bunnies if you get my drift. It's incredible but it's done everyday. The faster we go as human beings the faster we become deaf, dumb and blind to things we really need to pay attention too. Like our families, our pets and our environment. Lord!

You are so very right. I was at the pool the other day and saw a young mother with her daughter. The daughter was STARVING for attention...."mom, look. mom, look at me. Hey mom...mom" and all that mother could do was lay on the chair, texting, taking pictures of herself WITH EARPLUGS in. It made me incredibly sad. I looked at my DD (24 y/o) and said "that mother is so unplugged from her child". :banghead:

I hate when JW says something and thinks she is having a "gotcha" moment but it really isn't.

I'm sure she sleeps just fine after cashing her paycheck and going shopping for all those expensive clothes she wears!!!:moo:

I think if Wilmott had any respect for the family of the victim, she would have obviously created a different defense and acted more professionally.

I put her in the same category as Alyce.

I know that closing argument is going to be grueling and sickening for all of us and for his family. We will be needing to wrap our arms around each other and hang tight as not to lose our minds, on those (what I believe will be excrutiating Closing Arguments.)

I am happy in the fact that their Closing Arguments will be the last time we ever have to hear the DTs voices again.

God help us all.

The good thing about closing statements as opposed to opening is they can't say whatever they want as far as I understand. They can only bring in things that they proved during trial through evidence and testimony. ........They really haven't proved all that much in my opinion. I think we will hear the words "reasonable doubt" a lot! haha

Gee--sounds like you dated my mom!:floorlaugh: My wonderful mother would bait me, insult me, be rude to me until I exploded with profanity, then she would cower and act like I was beating her with a baseball bat. Just for fun. I never knew which woman I'd be meeting--the happy, magnanimous, fun loving lady or the witch. She provokes my little brother much the same way. Their particular abuse is so evil because it makes the victims look crazy, abusive and cruel--when it is actually the BPD's who are the bad guys.

I had to cut off all contact 5 years ago when she started to manipulate my small children--sorry mother--you may not torment and abuse my children. And I just ran out of energy having 3 small kids and having to deal with my mother's constant need for attention.

I have only recently begun to be able to think about my mother without feeling overwhelming rage--that is a hallmark of victims of these people. They always look innocent and sane while the victims are perceived as "abusers." Travis' reaction to JA's abusive manipulations was not over the top to me--I've been in his shoes.

My mother NEVER respected any boundaries I tried to set. Being intruded on and disregarded and run over by these people is crazy-making. They lie, they manipulate and they are always looking to cause a reaction in the people around them just to alleive their emptiness.

Wow--sorry for the novel!
((( hugs))) for you! Thank you for sharing, you brought tears to my eyes.
I'm being a couch potato actually bed! May have kidney stones. I'm awaiting test results. It's not punishment to have bed rest as I am able to lay here and keep up.

I also would like to say that I admire that you set boundaries and distance yourself, I'm in a. Similar situation. You gave me inspiration.:seeya:

want to suddenly SURPRISE them by coming home early, going to lunch and like that?
A hubby surprising with a lunch and home early...
jealous of trial watching?:drumroll:

Right...now all of a sudden my DH wants to talk to me all the time.

She's probably afraid "somebody" might slip her a mickey while she's away! I know I would!

Right, let us not forget that the good Dr. had her home broken into after starting this case and the perpetrator has not been caught yet...just sayin'

and yesterday.

seriously, i don't think she sees it the way we do. i think she believes she's scoring or she'd quit.

She can't quit, that would be grounds for an appeal. She is stuck seeing this through to the bitter end. :seeya:

I have no idea which is the case as I was not there. But I can tell you as a person in AA that before recovery, I was always "just tipsy", never "drunk" LOL!! Not saying she's either, just saying people *rarely* are forthcoming about their true consumption. Besides, once you're to the point of being tipsy, there is no real mental judgement capable of discerning between tipsy and drunk. It's an oxymoron. You would only know based on how others reported your behavior. Self-assessment, at the point of being tipsy, is futile.

For me, I feel loose when I'm tipsy. Drunk is slurring of words and having trouble walking straight all the time!

How can Wilmott bring in these texts & emails when they were not brought in on direct?

The subject matter was discussed on direct which was a lack of doesmtic violence.

ohhh Wilmott....this girl is smart.

You will not win with Dr. DeMarte. :floorlaugh:

Her career is being made with this case. She is excellent!

Travis called her names when she pushed the boundaries = right to kill.

Seriously JW? Is that all ya got?

Seriously. That IS all they've got!!!!

PLEASE please please please please let the jury do an interview on Dateline or one of the news programs after this trial is over. I am dying to know what they thought of Wilmott and Nurmi's behavior.

I remember being very disgusted by Baez's performance during the casey anthony trial. He came across as smarmy and oily to me. The jury loved him, though.

I don't think the actual performances of any of the attorneys here is out of hand and I don't think it will affect, too much, how the jury feels about the attorneys and thus, how they feel about the case.

The defense isn't going to be lost on the demeanor of the defense attorneys during trial. It's going to be lost via the incredibly overwhelming and utterly irrefutable evidence that jodi planned and did murder Travis Alexander in cold blood.

Rude snarky is not profesional

It's just performance. No different than what Mr. Martinez did with the defense experts. In fact, he was much harsher and snarkier: "Do you have problems with your MEMORY? Can you not remember what was just said one second ago?"

We tend to only find it unprofessional when it's coming from the side we hate!!!

RIP Travis. I loved Dr D's reply to going behind the words - "I can't. He's not alive." Let's just back to why we are here.

It's such an important point and one that was abused by ALV and RS. Interpretting Travis's words to the benefit of JA. May it stop now!

Fantastic response by Dr. Demarte. She is very, very sharp. Incredible to watch.

What the ....??

Dr DeMarte asks politely to SEE the specific message that JW is referring to, so she knows what the heck instance JW is speaking about.
Dr DeMarte: "I would like to see it, so I don't imply anything misleading"
JW screeches .. "because you wouldn't want to mislead anyone, right?

Yes JW ... That's called the witness wishing to make sure she's answering truthfully.
Hard to answer JW's round-the-world to get to a point questions.

So pleased that Dr DeMarte takes her time with slow measured responses and is not ever sucked into the traps that defense tries to set.

I am too. I can't say enough about this witness. It's not easy not to be tripped up by such questioning but she is unshakable. It's so clear she's telling the truth.

Just to be clear, as I am not recalling her background (everything is starting to jumble together), does she have her Doctorate? I keep calling her Dr. D.....
