I really think that detail about Tammy going all out to win may have backfired on Ms. Emma and her hubby. They framed it as she was cheating but to me it showed she was not some wallflower and was going to compete whatever it took.

When Emma said Tammy did not compete int he 5k I was sitting there with my mouth wide open, like what? Everyone else said she was! The school principal said he saw her cross the finish line! So then Emma comes up with some BS about some of them walking people across the finish line.

I do not like Emma at all.

So many points that made her unbelievable. The jury heard Emma and Chad discuss the mortgage, who should have their name on it and how to pay, yet she has no idea that JP owns the house. Her dad didn't tell her anything about that?

Yeah. She will get 10 days after she gets the eviction notice to figure it out. Then, the Sheriff comes to escort you from the premises.

interesting: Tammy's clogging class/fitness was at nite. in fact neighbor Gilbert says Tammy left a church activity early at 8pm the previous wednesday to go to her clogging class...and no sign of any coughing. the instructors testified Tammy was fine, was not lagging behind. only darling daughter says she wasnt keeping up and going to bed soooooooooooo early.

Garth: McDonald's run: someone who doesnt feel well and doesnt feel like cooking, doesnt send someone out for a McDonald's quarter-pounder with cheese (unless you have a hangover...maybe..:) )

JP made sure direct had minimal info for cross and IMO, the state felt the kids were pretty transparent as to what their intent was.....when matched up to previous witnesses....best to pass.

Not one tear, even when describing her mother being exhumed!
Especially when you consider the kids were previously reported to be upset Tammy was exhumed "and they didn't know."

I found it interesting Emma said she didn't believe in autopsies, or that anyone should be autopsied. Well now isn't that a convenient "conviction."

"He may not have had the romantic feelings for Tammy (at the time of her death), but he valued her as a person." According to Emma's observations. He sure did value Tammy. She kept him afloat financially.
So are we to assume this was a well known fact I wonder or was she just a nosey girl in general I wonder? Weird family dynamics IMO. I love my father, but can say with 100% certainty that I would never lie for him had he been involved in any way with my mothers death. All MOO.

Just realized a big miss from the prosecution, they could have nailed Emma on....

She claims she had an event the next day and was playing amateur meteorologist looking up wind speed, right?

Later, she was asked which way the police car was facing when her dad was sitting inside, and she answered "I'm not good at directions".

OKKKK, so wind speed directions mean what to you, you who are not good at directions?

I think Blake did a good job with what she had to work with. It was obvious that Emma had been coached to answer only with "yes" or "no" answers. Emma's flat affect, really made me wonder if she was doped up. No one is that completely emotionally dry when talking about their dead mother. I have heard more animation from people discussing calculus equations.
