Tribesmen kidnap U.S. couple in Yemen
Captors demand release of prisoner in exchange for their 'guests'

SAN'A, Yemen - Armed tribesmen kidnapped an American couple near the Yemeni capital San'a on Monday, officials said.

Security officials, a taxi driver and tribesmen said the pair were seized as they were traveling west of the capital in al-Hudaydah province. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they aren't authorized to speak to the media.

The kidnappers are believed to be demanding the release of a jailed tribe member, a source told msnbc.com. A Yemeni security official told Reuters that the kidnapping was not thought to have any broader political motive.

So how are we supposed to travel and feel safe?
No wonder that tourism is down in the entire world.
No wonder that it is hard to rebuild economie internationally.

unfortunatley, you take your life in your hands going to certain places outside the US. Maybe we should all just travel state to state for awhile.
