Im still there :fence: til they find Lisa, I think if its true she was drinking alot she might not remember what happened that night, and that would be truely scarey IMO

Coming out of lurkdom for a minute...I can't keep up with the threads anyway!

I have seen nothing 'definative' to conclude that the parents are involved. God forbid if any of our lives would be held up to the scrutiny that these parents have. We have ALL made bad choices or stupid decisions. Most of the time, nothing comes of it. I 'lost' my nephew this summer...He was helping at a party we had at our local park. No way was I going to make a police report (and have it be public record that I lost a kid!) because 'nothing bad happens around here' (heard that before?)

Then I remembered that he had made some money running a booth for the party...long story short...I pictured his story right here on WS - 13yo boy carrying $ comes up missing...Y'all would have torn me apart (whatever was left after my sister was done)

Why was he unsupervised? Why can't you remember when you last saw him? Why didn't you immediately notify police? etc.

Actually, I did contact the police (and actually did pretty good on the clothing description). The officer went to one park and I went to another - I found him.

Point being, when a child is missing, most of the time it is no big deal (TG). What we are seeing in this situation (Baby Lisa) is mostly unprecedented.

CA blew it for us to assume ALL parents love their children and want the best for them. But THANK GOD most still do.

My reaction in my situation was based on the likelyhood of something bad happening to my nephew (very low IMHO), my sister's reaction (OMG!) and what strangers (you guys) would say about me! (Better safe than sorry.)

If I am EVER accused of anything, I want AnaTeresa for my lawyer and wfgodot (sp?) on the jury!

Sorry for the rant, but reading some of these reactions make me crazy  (Not that I wasn't before - just more sure of it now)

I don't agree. I cannot yell, "Fire!" in a crowded theater & be covered by the 1st Amendment (Law School 101).

Building a case should have little to do with prosecuting a case; otherwise, we'd still have Marshalls as our representation in a court of law.

LE does what they can to get the truth! If the truth is not there, what are you going to do?

Dunno that I buy the whole saw a man carrying a baby story but this subdivision is well lit at night with maintained streetlights. So seeing skintone is somewhat feasible. They are the orangy lights though so I am not sure if you would be able to distinguish between a light-skinned black guy or not.

DB is the only mother I can remember who has cried continuously in all her appearances before the media. To me, her body language and manner at the store was that of a carefree woman expecting to have a pleasant ordinary evening. She looked very casual and mundane. Her appearance today after the attorney arrived showed such relief. I believe this woman is probably innocent. Of course she should not have been drinking, but what if we locked up every woman who ever had too much to drink in the presence of children. Think we could do that? Can everyone anxious to draw and quarter this woman actually say they never ever did anything wrong and irresponsible during their years of parenting?

Has the neighbor hired an attorney what with "evidence" carried out of the house?

-that's reality. We have a system of justice that essentially "presumes" innocence but that concept itself is not literally found in our constitution rather other constitutional rights give certain protections to those accused of crimes and these create the effect of considering an accused "innocent until proven guilty". These constitutional protections have no impact on the right of any person to voice their opinions about guilt or innocence. Given that any and all human systems are prone to errors individuals are not complelled to abandon reason even in the face of an acquittal never mind prior to one. A presumption can be overcome and those eventually found guilty were not actually innocent until the jury said they were guilty-they were always guilty.

BBM. When something happens to a child in the care of a drunk, we do lock up the drunk. Sometimes for years.

I think she is feeling extremely guilty for drinking. But she is not the only one in the world who has made this mistake. I for one drink, but can not think of one time that my husband was not home to help me with the kids. But she had a friend over, having a good time, while kids slept. If I drink to much wine to quickly my night is gone. Which is why I gave up wine. Maybe she hid the drinking out of guilt, now she is telling everyone whats the big deal if she got drunk, which is probably a way for her to handle it emotionally. Soon it will turn into, why did I..... I would be so unbelievably ashamed of myself, if I got drunk the night my baby disappeared. I am still on the fence. I should probably watch the videos.

I am open about Lisa Irwin. As for Casey Anthony, Caylee went unreported for a month.

Well if she is feeling guilty for drinking she certainly hasn't said it. She doesn't think she did anything wrong.

.. But have to admit my heart is so very sad more than anything.. Sad for baby Lisa being lost in all of this garbage!! And being used as a fame/cash cow..

Getting quite difficult but am committed to keeping my heart and mind open.. But in having my eyes open as well.. Well, I'm just going to wait here on this fence and see..

One thing I know has remained the same and that's my continual prayer's for Lisa.. God, if she's still here on this earth I pray You keep her safe in Your warm, loving arms.. And if she's already gone from this earth and there with You.. Well.. Then I know she's safe in Your warm, loving arms..
