An unidentified body was located in the median of Highway 271 Sunday, according to the Tyler Police Department.

Police responded to the 9800 block of Highway 271 to find a black man in his late teens who they believe was a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.
Police say he's around 5'3, slender build, wearing a black t-shirt and red parachute pants with black sandals.

Investigators believe the young man was hit by a vehicle. He had no identification on him, so they're hoping someone will be able to help identify him.

He's around 5'3" with a slender build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, red parachute pants and black sandals. He had a black backpack with him. He also had a piece of jewelry around his neck that someone may recognize.

The victim is identified as Damarion Williams, B/M, age 11 of Smith County. Investigators received information that led to them contacting a witness to the collision.

Josue Alejandro Prado Ramirez, H/M, age 21 of Athens, Texas was charged with Accident Involving Death, 2nd degree felony and a warrant was issued by Judge Jack Skeen with bond set at $250,000. Authorities are currently working on locating Ramirez to place him under arrest.

My gosh, why did LE think this child was an older teen? The ME should have been able to take one look at his teeth development and know he was younger... Makes me wonder if his face was badly damaged. :mad:

UPDATE: On Monday, June 18 Josue Alejandro Prado Ramirez, 21 of Athens turned himself in to the Henderson County Jail on a Tyler Police Department warrant for an accident involving death of 11-year-old Damarion Williams.
