Hi there, had a look in the archives and I don't think this match has been considered before. Christy Gerrard and Jane Doe, seem to share a similiar face shape and nose. Height, weight and hair color seem to match. Jane Doe was found with car keys and Christy Gerrard was last seen driving. She went missing the 14th August 1998, Jane Doe was found October 1998. here is the page for Jane Doe.
    www.doenetwork.org/cases/71uftx.html
and a nameus page for Christy.

There is a website set up for Christy here.

here is the namus page for the UID:

    https://identifyus.org/cases/4060

it could be Christy; however, they have nothing to compare the two cases with. they have no DNA for either and per Christy's page they have no dentals for her. so with skeletal remains, unless you have something fairly unique (pins, screws, implants, etc) that perfectly matches the MP, they can't make a definitive ruling.

Just because dentals and dna are not listed in NamUs does not mean they are unavailable. In many cases they are available but that info is simply not updated into NamUs. The only way to confirm DNA and dentals are not available is to talk directly to the officer handling the MP case and the ME handling the UID case.

The JD was located in 1988. Christy went missing 10 years later in 1998.

oops. the thread said 1988 and the OP said 1998. I rechecked the Namus page and the body was in fact found in 1988 so this cannot be Christy Gerrard.
