So, dj, still is missing. And just an update to a few of the comments and rumors I've seen here.
Dustin, went missing November 7th, 2019. All friends and relatives, played it off like his usual business. Being gone days or months at a time, with no word... they claimed was his M.O.
The photo displayed on most of the news sites, very much is a mug shot from a previous issue, dustin was facing. And his girlfriend advocated, out of anger of misrepresentation, that other photos she had used on the missing Facebook page, be used to represent the missing man. Because he may have had a criminal history. But he was a father, a son and a loving boyfriend. His faults were not to be fantasized as the reason for his disappearance and it was disrespectful to his name, that he be identified and solely recognized for his choices made out of habit, history or necessity. He was a loved man. Not a villain.
The home owner, where he and his girlfriend at the time had stayed; had broken into his room while his girlfriend was gone and threw everything into the garage. Where the girlfriend was stuck for almost 2 weeks, trying to wait for dustin to return, trying to find a safe place to move to, along with all of his things. Going to the restroom or falling asleep weren't options for her, because roommates, home owners and people claiming to be his brother would rob her of his things, at every turn. When she finally found a new place to go, to try to save all that was left. She then was being attacked, threatened and robbed... thus, finally she was able to communicate with his brother to give him, hers and Dustin's things. A friend who "helped", may have also taken things to their residence and decided not to hand over everything to the brother.
There have been plenty of people lying for attention. Spreading rumors and pointing fingers. Plenty of people claiming designated rights to his possessions and even fewer genuine friends who seek to keep his things safe, for the sake of his memory. And love for him.
His absence has left a broken heart, mournful family and confused friends.
There has been an increase of his reward: there has been a change of lead detectives upon detective bo Robert's retirement last October 2020. Now its in the hands of detective Gerber. As of yet, there haven't been any progressive leads. But, there are people on the streets. Who not only miss him, but are actively seeking whatever information can be found. Searching open fields and various locations that might have any sort of lead.
And according to the comment that he is just hiding with a new girlfriend... as shattered as it might leave the girlfriend that he left behind, in that house where they lived and loved together. It would be a breathe of fresh air, and a chance at finding closure... just the hope that he is alive, and that he merely left for whatever reason. Would bring so much peace to her soul. Maybe she'd stop staring down every motorcycle; or stop squinting at every ginger beard with a wide nose. Because, the unanswered questions, might very well still haunt her. His disappearance may have very well, broken her spirit. Because before he was gone, she had never known anyone better. Had never been shown more love by anyone than, this man.
So, if anyone had any information... even just a more elaborate rumor that's been spread to your ears. Anything would help. Because this isn't a typical missing persons case, revolving a criminal incident of drug activity. This a man, who knew fee enemies. And even those who despised him, could easily find love and respect for him. He was kind. Generous. Well educated. And sincere. He loved so many. Was loved by so many. Even the people who disliked him, admit that there wasn't a person on this earth that couldn't find love for him. He was so personable and worth respect... that it was hard for anyone to truly hate him.
