Looks like they are coming back?
After my own experience as a juror, I don’t read too much into jury questions anymore. It could be just one person being confused. And judges don’t provide clarification anyway. Jurors have to rely on the instructions they have been given.
I also have to say, being a juror and seeing how apathetic and just plain dumb ppl can be has really sobered me up about our jury system. People come in there with all kinds of personal biases and try to make decisions based on those and will use ‘what if’ scenarios to justify their half-cocked reasoning. And one juror was just controlling but thought she was smarter than all of us and pretty much held us hostage for a whole day. Some folks just don’t want the responsibility and sit there being contrarian. It was an extremely frustrating experience.
Families and attorneys are in courtroom now
the racially diverse makeup of the jury gives me hope:
4 men: •2 African American •1 Hispanic •1 Caucasian 8 women: •1 Caucasian •4 Hispanic (2 are possibly Asian) •3 African American
it almost has to be manslaughter....or hung. They kept saying it was not a verdict but now it is?
Where is it saying verdict?
Verdict means not hung. That's not a verdict.
Judge just walked in !
I'm actually shaky. Justice is so important.
Judge standing - waiting on jury.
Not sure how many states would agree, but I sure wouldn’t want to live in one that does agree.
Judge appears nervous. Has she been crying?
