I’m wondering about that, too.Was someone harbouring Craig?
This is one wild ride.
Was he found out in the open, or if in a residence as mentioned, was he trying to hide, or was he nonchalantly hanging out?
This case has certainly zig-zagged.

BBMArmy criminal investigators are looking into the spouse's death, which is standard procedure if a death happens inside a military member's residence.
I tend to think that was the case. Yes, they weren't *on base* living, but perhaps shared an Army owned home off of base?BBM
Echoing @Gut_feeling wondering why it’s reported that she was found inside their home, and yes maybe it was mis-labeled as that by the press, but would the army also investigate the death of a dependent spouse in a non-military residence? Or was the friend they were staying with also living in a “military residence”?
Yes, I think that a lot of these Fort Hood cases seem so outrageous because of the combination of the size of the installation creating an almost urban type environment along with the military having less transparent reporting and investigating policies than what we're used to in the civilian world.I doubt will know much of anything now that the Army will start dealing with his AWOL status.
andWhat in the wide wide world of sports?

After getting a good night sleep and waking up to no further details in trying to rack my brain about some less insane hypotheticals here. We know or at least can safely assume that he had been ducking this deployment to Korea for a few months so, considering that we now know he's alive, it's logical to assume that his disappearance was a continuance of that. Maybe the army had located him and he felt like the MPs were on the way to collect him so he went to ground, not telling anyone anything this time.
Whatever the reason, I do feel he hid without telling any of his family anything. I think if his wife was complicit she probably would have told a less concerning tale than "he's in grave danger if he's even alive" like "he probably went to Mexico" or something like that, where people would be less frantically searching. In fact, I am currently speculating that the wife might have been a codependent type which could explain her drama when he disappeared and his parents' comments about the marriage and partially explain his reluctance to move.
If I'm correct with this line of speculation so far then it could be that his absence was too much for her to handle and that resulted in her death, either accidentally or intentionally. There are too many possibilities to speculate more specifically on that until more details are released but the thing is, however related to his absence her death might have been he would have been just as uninformed as we were so that military style lack of public details might have been too much for him to take, wherever he was hiding, and came back in person to find out what happened (maybe even holding out some hope that it's not true) which is when he was "located".
I feel now that this is the most probably chain of events and wonder how long it will be before someone releases some information to contradict or confirm it - I expect it would be his parents.
I'm all in on this one. I don't think I've ever seen this before. My shot in the dark is that he was in hiding perhaps with her assistance and then he killed her maybe because she threatened to reveal his whereabouts or something like that? And maybe now he's going to have some contrived story to pin all the blame on her? Again this is just an absolute guess because I have never seen a case like this that I can recall.
My first thought was suicide on her part, but now I too am wondering if it is much darker. Some people marry military just for the medical benefits......IMO
There is a lot to this story. Maybe the parents will tell more when this all settles down....just to preserve their sons name...
Time will tell.
I seriously doubt his parents will address her death at all. Where are her parents and family? IMOMy first thought was suicide on her part, but now I too am wondering if it is much darker. Some people marry military just for the medical benefits......IMO

@starlightstarbright, this really caught my attention. Could you clarify or let me know which page to go to that references this or which church they were part of? What kind of stigma? And why would there not be support for this relationship by family? Thanks.I hope it’s okay to say this MOO but my guess is that they both have experienced a lot of stigma, and coming from a ‘church’ family in TX, not a lot of support for their relationship.
