The Fort Worth Police Department is searching for the mother of a deceased newborn left in the front yard of a home in the 5100 block of Birchman Avenue near Camp Bowie and I-30.

Police said someone placed the baby -- a girl -- there between the hours of 10 p.m. on June 5 and 6:40 a.m. on June 6.

Police believe the dead newborn, a girl, was placed in bushes outside a home in west Fort Worth between 10 p.m. on Monday, June 5, and 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6. The baby girl was found Tuesday morning and was already deceased at that time, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Police also told the news outlet that the baby appeared to be wrapped in “some sort of plastic” when she was found. Investigators believe the baby was born only a few hours before the grim discovery.

Yeah, pics lie. Its ugly hood baby all around that street. I suppose somebody thought a person on a nicer street might find the baby? A girlfriend of mine told me about this last night as she was finally bringing her new born home from the hospital. He was born May 2.
A lady came to my house last night to pick up a pool that is right in that ugly/nasty hood. Whew I better not say more. Lol IMO IME
RIP sweet angel

murder is murder. she could have made a better choice no matter the law here... I personally don't agree w it

I agree it's terrible that an infant died like this but if she'd been able to get an abortion very early into the pregnancy it would have been avoided. I guess we don't know what situation she was in either. A woman who just gives birth by herself and sees no other choice but to dump it somewhere is obviously not safe.

Why in someones front yard?
Either this is a really young minded teen or the front yard is important or they were trying to make it somewhere and couldnt? or a million other things..but this whole baby in the bush could not have been the plan . I hope anyway.
So I checked the map link out posted by

@cvaldez1975

Noticed a few trash cans out front , I just think the baby in the bush thing was very ah..maybe they thought they would come back to hide things better but couldnt because they, ya know might be dying right now. Feel like a tracking dog might have helped here...like a lot.
Either way I pray she is okay.

looks like a neat clean working class hood

I live very close to this neighborhood and my mom grew up in this neighborhood. Its a nice working-class neighborhood and in the last few years has become quite trendy and expensive. My first thought was maybe the person thought the baby had a chance of being found since this is a busy neighborhood. I can't wrap my head around it.
