Desperate search for Texas girl Heaven, 15, believed lured by 'much older' man

A missing 15-year-old Texas girl may have been lured by a “much older” man from California she met via Snapchat, the girl’s family said on social media.

Heaven Ray Cox, of Orange, Texas, was last seen by her parents on Nov. 25.

Detective Janois Grizzaffi with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told the Beaumont Enterprise the teen’s parents first notified law enforcement of her disappearance around 3 p.m. Sunday.

She is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall with blonde hair and brown eyes, and weighs approximately 113 pounds.

Heaven's social media accounts appear to be public - I have found 2 Twitter accounts that may belong to her.

Both have not been used in a year, she lists her age as 14 in one. Both contain several selfies that bear a resemblance to other images. In one Twitter she mentions being depressed, a symptom of Bipolar Disorder. She also states that she is adopted. Unfortunately, because her phone is not in her possession, they cannot be used to make contact.

Update: Heaven Ray Cox, a 15-year-old reported missing from Orange County Sunday, has been reported found and safe by her mother in a Facebook post.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Texas said that investigators were able to locate Heaven unharmed at a residence in Louisiana "after following several leads and speaking with numerous individuals."

Authorities said the home where Heaven was found belonged to a relative of someone Heaven knew. The investigation will continue, and the sheriff's office has not ruled out any pending criminal charges, it said.

Heaven was questioned by authorities the Orange County Sheriff's Office before she returned home to her family this evening.

Before Heaven had been found, Cox said she may have been with an older man she met on social media. It is unclear whether she was with anyone when she was found.

Just saw Heaven's story shared on Facebook by my sister in law who knows Heaven's Mom and checked for a thread. Surely by now LE knows who this older man is, they need to get his name and picture out too. Hoping he didn't take her to Mexico by now.

Texas 15-Year-Old Girl Who Went Missing Found Safe in Louisiana

UPDATE: According to a Facebook post from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Heaven Ray Cox has been found safe.

The girl was found by police in a home in Louisiana owned by the relative of someone Heaven knew, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Preliminary reports are that Heaven left her residence last Saturday on her own accord, but we will continue to speak to all persons involved. We have not ruled out pending criminal charges,” the statement says.

This poor little thing had so much going on in her young life. Mental illness, being groomed by a predator. Teenage years are confusing anyway, to battle mental illness along with it is devastating. RIP Little one. Fly high.

Mom's FB page posted on 2/3/17, 5:27 pm about needing everyone to pray for her, "it's an emergency". Then at 8:18pm she posted that she had passed around 4pm.
