5/12/22 Update: Guillermo Gonzalez, Dir. of the trial division for the Travis County District attorney's office & also Andreas of same office gave closing arguments. Defense attorney Brian Erskine gave closing arguments. Judge Selena Alvarenga denied (Motion to Suppress) her defense team's request to throw out evidence from a warrantless search. They claimed that the evidence was illegally obtained when investigators entered the Harris County home without a search warrant. The judge ruled that Fieramusca voluntarily spoke with law enforcement at the home & understood her rights. Next pretrial hearing on 6/16/22.

Looks like it's still on for this morning starting any minute, however Fieramusca is not required to attend today. When is the TRIAL going to start?????

I've been trying to warn the Mo Wilson thread on how slow the wheels of justice move in Travis County [where K Armstrong allegedly murdered the 25 yr old cyclist she believed had an interest in her boyfriend].

The August 9th hearing will be another with no attendance required from Fieramusca. It's been 2.5 years...... I used to be so astonished at how quickly American trials seemed to be held in comparison to Canadian trials.. what's up with THIS one though????? Seems seriously long???????? Does anyone know when it'll pick up the pace??

When I compare this case to others in TX, the length of time does not seem out of the ordinary to me. A few examples...

Sierra Patino's mother and her boyfriend were charged with Sierra's murder in Sept 2019, Almost three years later, we are still awaiting trial. (Houston)

Reyes Gallegos was charged with the murder of his wife, Cecilia, in Sept 2019 and he is still awaiting trial. (San Antonio)

Cedric Marks is still awaiting trial after being charged with the murders of Michael Swearingin & Jenna Scott in August 2019. (Temple)

Laura Sanchez was arrested in June 2020 for the murder of her 2 year old son, Frankie. Still awaiting trial. (Waco)

Trevor Rowe was charged with the murder of 11 month old Marion Jester-Montoya in April 2020 and is still awaiting trial. (Lubbock)

Andre McDonald was arrested for the murder of his wife, Andreen, in July 2019. Still awaiting trial. (San Antonio)
