TX TX - Houston, BlkFem 25-35, 552UFTX, tattoos - Pierced Heart & poss IVY, IVV or IW//, Jun'05

I also notice that the namus page lists age estimate as 25 to 35 while doe network says 25 to 55.

It's a lot harder to pinpoint the age of an UID adult, which is why she didn't rule out Lila Martin just because of her missing age (43)

Sheila Johnson
Out of age range given, no mentions of scars or tattoos. She is very petite, no one really knows when this woman went missing. She was reported missing in 2006, however no one had seen or spoken with Ms. Johnson since 2003. It is also stated that Ms. Johnson was homeless by choice.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/9877/27/
I'm not sure how the two would be compared. No DNA, no dentals. Fingerprints available elsewhere - per namus. I'm assuming these wouldn't be helpful

The hair keeps throwing me off. It is not a hairstyle that I typically associate with homeless women. Just an observation!

Teeth showing in smile may be helpful. Gal seems too shot, JMO.

Right height, a scar on her abdomen. However, she is in the low end of the age-range, and I am not sure how I feel about a 7 year gap between missing and found dead.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/s/sellers_veyda.html

Height and Scar. Age fits slightly better, her being 38 in 2005. But, again, there is a gap. I don't mind a gap, but I prefer a slightly shorter one.

I dunno, we could be barking up a wrong tree, looking for scars and tattoos that Jane Doe could have gotten after everyone lost track of her.

I've also tried looking for a connection with "Ivy", thinking that it may be a name or nickname, possibly her own, or that of someone important to her, but, so far, I haven't found anything.

Debbie Moore looks like a pretty reasonable possible, despite that there is no mention of tattoos:

* Timeline Fits.
* She and her husband had to have passed through Texas to get from Mississippi to Phoenix.
* Age Fits
* Height Fits.
* Braided hair fits.

The Charley casefile says that they were "known to have been in Casa Grande, AZ sometime after they left Mississippi". I wonder how that was known, and whether there is a credible sighting of her, or just some evidence that he was there.

Submitted her, got this:

"I actually like this woman very much. Her facial features are strikingly similar. We do not have fingerprints. Maybe NamUs can help us get DNA submitted. I will follow up"

She likes the fact this woman is originally from NOLA, as many that are from there have family ties in Houston.

Thanks for clearing up the opening post, Carl. :)

The height, age, race, hair color, and eye color are spot-on and 2 out of the 3 tattoos are a match. Props to Shadowdancer and Lyssav for finding that potential match; I'm going to be shocked if Wanda and the UID aren't one in the same.

It was Houston Mom & Lyssav who found Wanda, I don't want to take the credit for their work. :) Wanda is such a great match though, isn't she?! I will be very surprised if it isn't her.

However, there have been some great PMs suggested, who have opened my mind a bit more about other possibilities. I will suggest Anita Richardson as another PM.

Missing Since: August 15th 2003
Age: Would have been 26 at the time of death.
Height: 65 inches

No scars or tattoos listed, but it sounds like she may not have been in particularly close contact with her family. Her sister reported her missing, but this was almost two months after her neighbours last saw her.

I cannot take any credit in finding Wanda, I was just the messenger. That was allllll houstonmom :)

Dr. D was interested mostly because she thought Wanda looked quite a bit like the UID, however since seeing Ms. Johnson she thinks she looks more like the UID than Wanda. However both women are our two top potential matches.

Sheila's story is all over the place. She was homeless, originally from NOLA, and chose to live on the streets. She makes it sound like it is more possible for the UID to be Sheila.

I am still submitting PMs while we wait on news about Wanda and Sheila

Another one that would have been quite a bit older. She would have been 50 at the time of death.

Laverne Morrow - Has a scar on abdomen, but no tattoos listed. I was initially put off by her missing date (1998), but it does look like it might just have been a case of her losing contact with her out of state relatives.

No DNA or dentals but looks like she can rule her out by photo. There are some pretty good pictures of her front teeth. They are definitely unique

SHIRLEY GEANES
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/g/geanes_shirley.html
Age, race, height, hair color, eye color, and state all match up. She went missing eight months before the body was found. Her hair was tied up in ''long, thick braids'' at the time of her disappearance. She had two kids so it's possible that she may have had a C-section and/or a hysterectomy. Problem is, there's no mention of her having tattoos.

FAITH MWAURA
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/mwaura_faith.html
She disappeared at age 22 but would have been 25 at the time the UID was found. Age, race, height, hair color, and eye color all match. She went missing less than 4 hours from the UID.
Mwaura had ''personal problems'' at the time of her disappearance. Maybe she couldn't take it anymore and decided to run away (like in the Brenda Heist case)? She could have gotten her tattoos and a surgical procedure (a C-section or hysterectomy) in that 3-year gap, which would explain why her family didn't report her having any tattoos...

WANDA HOLLAND missing from Houston in 1994. 59 to 61 inches 87 to 97 lbs. No mention of tattoos or scars.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/8544/2/

This one is interesting because she is missing from Harris, I would think they would have looked into her, however there is an 11 year gap so I could see where they may have overlooked her. Sounds possible. I will share this with Sharon. I am trying to sift through everyone that had been mentioned to get the list ready. I see some of these links aren't namus links, do we know if they are listed on namus? (having the namus links make it easier for her to get the information she needs in a timely manner, otherwise she has to call LE an that is always a waiting game!)

I'll throw this one into the mix. It's an old case - 1989! Benita Spears, she would have been about 39 in 2005. Height is close and she was quite petite all those years ago. She has a scar on her abdomen from hernia surgery soon after birth. I figure Dr. Derrick might be able to tell whether the scar can or can't be that old. She has dentals but no DNA.
