Happy Easter, everyone!
I submitted Smurfette to the Doe Network yesterday, since she meets the criteria for it now. So hopefully she'll show up soon.
This new information about Mary states that she is believed to of had been staying in Colorado and south of the United States during an unidentified amount of time during her disappearance which may very well fit with the isotope testing results done on Smurfette. Mary's mother still hasn't provided Mary's presence.
Mary has been found safe.
I was looking at the generic looking NCMEC CT-scan recon of Smurfette, and decided to liven her up a little bit.
(Note that this facial reconstruction is based on the NCMEC reconstruction (above left) that was created from a CT-Scan image of her skull. This is only an estimations of how she might have looked in life. Details such as her overall look, and the shape of her eyes, lips, etc. are not intended to be exact depictions)
She looks much younger in color. Thank you, Carl.
Has anyone taken a look at Kaitlin Kearney? She was reported missing by her mother on September 4, 2012. Very new articles (March 1, 2015) mention that she is still missing and there were reports of her being seen right after she disappeared and then the sightings just stopped. Her narrow nose, and hair color seem to match. "Kearney is about five feet tall, weighs 110 pound"....
Please take a look. Her name seems to have different spellings on multiple sites with Caitlin and Kaitlin. Here are a few articles
Marking my spot / quote post
Possible, though she'd be at the upper end of the age range, wouldn't she?
Note to add here that Caitlin Kearney is on the official rule out list. For some reason I missed it when I looked the first time.
For the record, Vanessa has been recovered per NCMC alerts 5/28/2015.
One year ago this news clip ran. I ran across it in my sleuthing.
Sheena Dixon missing from Jamaica since late September 2011, age: 14 height: 4ft 10in
The article states Sheena called her grandmother twice about a month before the article was published (march 2012) and once stated she was in Chicago, and the next that she was in the Bahamas - she was rushed off of the phone by an unknown male.
Incredibly far fetched, it's hard to imagine a little girl could travel so far from home, but IF she did, I can see where a little girl from Jamaica could easily mix up two big US cities like Chicago and Houston.
She doesn't look exactly like the reconstruction, but I see similarities. Coastal ports make this idea a bit more believable IMO.
NCMC put an update out for Nayley today.
"Nayley Gutierrez missing from Exeter, CA, has been recovered. Please discontinue dissemination of this poster. Your participation in this program has made a valuable contribution to this recovery. "
Bumping for Smurfette.
Do not assume the DNA is in the same system. LE or ME can hold the DNA like in Racine WI Jane Doe
What happened to Jamie makes me wonder if Smurfette was a runaway then how long could of she been missing for before she was found?
This girl is very petite and I noticed she has only recently been added to missing persons data bases. They also think her destination could of been out of state.
Melany Guerrero has been recovered per NCMEC updates today.
*Bumping for Smurfette.*
Correct link to her thread - TX - Kimberly Abigail Orellana, 12, Falfurrias, 9 Aug 2012
We have an album for her on Never Forget Me; someone suggested Kimberly; so Still_Seek_Answers called LE who said that Kimberly Orellana has nothing to compare to, they are trying to locate family to get a swab hopefully to get compared. I've grabbed the quotes for Kim so I could see who said what.
