If the Map marker in the Namus file is roughly correct, there's an assisted living facility about a mile from where the body was found. (Marker might not be correct; I don't see any businesses or warehouses nearby, just residences and some baseball fields.)

That tattoo looks quite fresh and bright.

Socks on and no shoes might fit the deceased woman's no-slip socks.
Yes, good catch! I hadn't thought of that although I noticed that Linda was wearing a navy blue shirt. I suppose it's possible she had the same clothing on since Feb.? It would be nice if we knew an est. PMI for JD.

I went through several Houston-area newspapers and couldn't find anything about the body being found.

It's described as badly decomposed in Namus, so she could have been there for quite some time. If Linda went missing on 9 February, that would mean about five months, so--hmm, possible?

It's certainly possible too that if these are her remains, she didn't necessarily pass away in Feb.

Lexie went missing from Fort Worth on June 28, 2020. There's no mention of a butterfly tattoo or any physical marks/scars/etc. Her long salt & pepper hair has my attention.

@carbuff any thoughts on Lexie as a match? I can't seem to find any missing persons report or MSM articles for her. Do you think she'd be in that advanced of a state of decomp after only 1 month? ETA -Not even a month; only 3 weeks.

There's so little information on Lexie--but she's a very close match on demographics. I'd say that in the middle of a hot summer, remains could become very decomposed in only a week or two.

Poor lady. I think she's definitely being missed by someone out there.

Could this woman possibly be Stephanie Paige Haynes?

Stephanie Paige Haynes – The Charley Project

The butterfly is in the right place and the general stats fit. Ms. Haynes has tattoos not mentioned for the decedent, but not mentioned doesn't necessarily mean not there. Since she went missing in 2003 and there's plenty of time for her to have acquired the craniotomy and other surgery, that's not a problem. I would expect that the autopsy would have detected Ms. Haynes' broken pelvis, though after so many years, maybe not.

So I'm gonna go a big "I dunno" on this one.

If the other tattoos were tiny, I wonder how much of her skin isn't decomposed or putrified?

The stats match up, but I wonder...

Missing Person Case (namus.gov)

This is the only one I can find that sort of fits. She went missing in 2005 so her appearance most likely changed but she has a butterfly tattoo on her left calf. Depending on where exactly it could be considered an ankle maybe. She also wore glasses. New Jersey is a loooong way away but that's a big enough time frame she could have gone back and forth several times over.
