Houston police seem to list all incidents on their website. I have found only this incident from the day when Jane Doe was found http://www.houstontx.gov/police/nr/2015/oct/nr151014-1.htm, however as Namus is now unavailable and can't see anymore approx location where she was found, I can't confirm it is the same case.

They do list all the cases and also all the updates at http://www.houstontx.gov/police/nrarchives.htm so her name should be mentioned there. I went through all the months of cases, some identified janes does, but again without original location known its hard to find out which one is her. Maybe someone else has more luck searching?
