In a statement, Miller thanked the Beaumont Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their continued trust in Texas EquuSearch to assist in the recovery of Kimberly after 25 years.

Officials said it is humbling and a great responsibility that is never taken lightly.

The popular true-crime series “Cold Justice” landed another indictment in Beaumont. This time, it was the cold case of Kimberly Langwell, a missing single mother from 1999.

The television series, which airs on Oxygen and is now in its seventh season, is hosted by Kelly Siegler, a former prosecutor from Harris County.

Siegler has tried 20 death penalty cases and secured the death penalty in 19, according to the Kelly Siegler Law Office website. While the legal celebrity claims to fight for justice, she too has been in hot water for unethical tactics while working with prison informants in Beaumont on an unrelated case to extract a confession from Texas death row inmate Ronald Jeffery Prible, according to the Death Penalty Information Center. Siegler did not disclose her communications with the informants to Prible’s attorneys or the benefits they received for assisting the prosecution.

Typical defense lawyer tactic when they want MSM/public to believe the defendant was convicted on informant testimony alone-- never mind the fact that Prible was the last person seen with Herrera at the house before the murders, their struggling business venture (topless club) provided the motive, the bullets that killed Herrera and Tirado were fired from the same gun and “a fire was set to destroy physical evidence, including Prible’s DNA.”

Fortunately, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals tossed a lower court’s ruling that would have freed Ronald Jeffrey Prible Jr, had the state failed to retry him within six months. A three-judge panel determined that there was not enough credible evidence to overturn his conviction and death sentence.

"Credible" being the key word here-- i.e., credible evidence including allegations against Kelly Siegler.
