This is just so sad and seems an almost invisible case for some reason? She has been missing for ONE YEAR and police are just now asking for help??!
I was made aware of this case today by a friend on a social network---so I wanted to share here and see if we can help to find her. I don't live in Austin but I'm sure many of you here do!! Below is what little info I've been able to find today:

On Sunday, March 6, 2011, Mary Alexandra McFadyen was reported missing. Initially it appeared that Mary’s disappearance may have been voluntary. On April 13, 2011, Mary’s car was found abandoned in the City of Austin.
Mary is described as:
White female
80 years of age
5’2”
100 lbs
British accent
A team of investigators from the Austin Police Department Violent Crimes Command have been investigating this case and learned that a friend of Mary’s named Garry Dolbow from Fresno, California came to visit her on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Through our investigation, Garry is the last known person to have seen or spoken to Mary.
Garry Dolbow travels a great deal for his work. He travels by vehicle to many states including California, Colorado, Arizona and Texas. Detectives have spoken with Garry multiple times over the phone, but only recently was Garry able to make a trip to Austin and speak with detectives.
On Wednesday, January 18, 2012 detectives spoke with Garry about the last time he saw Mary, which was Saturday, February 19, 2011. Garry stated that he left Mary’s residence on the evening of Saturday, February 19, 2011 and Mary was alive.
At this time, Garry Dolbow is considered a person of interest and it is believed that he has information that could be of great assistance to the investigation. APD has been and continues to work diligently on this investigation. APD appreciates the assistance we may receive from national, local media and tips from citizens.
The department urges anyone with information about Mary’s current whereabouts or the circumstances under which she disappeared to call the Austin Police Department’s Homicide Tip Line at (512) 477-3588.
