Not on NamUs etc. A jogger discovered the skeletal remains of a 55-70 year old man on April 22, 2015 in the dunes near the beach on North Padre Island, Corpus Christi, Texas. The remains may have been there for as long as 25 years. Of note, the decedent had a surgical plate on his spine, likely implanted in the late 80s-90s.

INVESTIGATORS WANT PUBLIC HELP TO IDENTIFY REMAINS FOUND ON BEACH

These men are all younger than the estimate, but they've had back surgery:

Juan Flores went missing from Houston in 1992. He's had two back surgeries and has two plates -- so not quite a match, but maybe they didn't find the entire spine?

Henry Moreno (http://doenetwork.org/cases/3298dmca.html) and Timothy O'Kane (http://doenetwork.org/cases/642dmca.html) are both missing from the Sacramento area in the 90's and both had back surgery, though a plate isn't specifically mentioned.

Wish there was a bit more information available about the remains.

Possible
Gene Andrew Payne, 46, missing from AZ in 1994, no mention of a plate, however it mentions he broke his back in 1986

Also Donald Wallace went missing from Massachusetts in April of 1991. He was only 37 at the time; however, he'd had back surgery with steel rods implanted due to previous injury AND had also gone missing before - turning up in Dallas, Texas. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/wallace_donald.html

NamUs also has age as 30-45. Juan Flores, mentioned above by carbuff, seems like a good possibility.

Hope so. They need some kind of closure. I somehow came across this website. This at least give us some kind of lead. I’ve been searching for years and recently saw this.

Just came across this case on NamUs. It states it was updated today but there are no listed exclusions.
