Multiple Houston police officers are shot during an 'encounter' with a suspect | Daily Mail Online

Five Houston police officers have been shot while serving a narcotics warrant.

The officers were struck with gunfire following an 'encounter' with a suspect in southeast Houston around 5pm Monday, authorities said.

Two suspects have reportedly been shot dead, but it is still an active scene.

The officers have been rushed to a local hospital and their conditions were not immediately known.

Joe Gamaldi, president of the Houston Police Officers’ Union, says one of the injured officers was taken to a hospital by helicopter.
