"A fitness trainer and mother of three was murdered in a Dallas-area church Monday morning by a man wearing SWAT gear, police said."

"Boot camp-style exercise class participants who showed up at the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Tex., around 5 a.m. found their instructor Terri “Missy” Bevers, 45, dead, according to the Midlothian Police Department."

"Fitness trainer Terri (Missy) Bevers, 45, was killed early Monday just before her boot-camp style class, police said. Participants in the Camp Gladiator class found her dead when they arrived to a Midlothian, Tex., church for the workout."

"Police Chief Carl Smith said a man wearing what looked like a tactical helmet, gloves and a heavy vest with "POLICE" written on it could be seen in security camera footage from the E. U.S. Highway 287 church just before Bevers arrived. The department released the 4 a.m. footage Monday afternoon, though Smith said no cameras captured the attack."

Questions have swirled around the suspect's identity, but Kristi Stout does not believe her sister-in-law died because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

'A lot of us, including myself, think she was targeted,' Stout told NBC DFW.

The LinkedIn Warrant provided at the top of this thread, under "affiants probable cause", explains the request for the warrant, the strange message, and the friend who spoke with investigator about it. Yes, Law Enforcement is quite aware of the "creepy" message. JMO

Hello, I'm new to WS. I have been lurking for YEARS and follow several cases. This is the first case to cause me to JOIN and POST. I do hope to follow all protocol and be very respectful of the rules and ettiquette here.

First, my opinion from the start is that SwatPerp is a female. The sway, the movement when checking out the Dutch door, and most of all dragging the hand along the wall while walking. What man would do that?

Next a couple of questions. Has it been stated for certain whether AT did or did not attend the memorial service? Do we know where AT and CT attend church?

Soooooo frustrating to get nothing new this week in the way of news. :tantrum:

According to some locals, AJT was a pallbearer at Missy's funeral. I haven't been able to confirm this.

The T's attend a church in Mansfield but I will not name it.

    And welcome. :)

Maybe I've missed the post clarification, sorry if this is repetitive. Did BB make the drive back by himself or did a friend help him drive back? Does anyone know who the friend is? Has anyone come forward to confirm that they were with BB? Male? Female? Any information at all?

Anyone know if there have been any calls to police for domestic violence at the home of the T's in the past?

    :eek:fftopic:

What I find interesting (at this point and based solely on what little we know)is the difference, currently, between a Capital Murder charge and a Murder charge. All that's separating the 2 at this point is the burglary/robbery aspect, which we know to be true. Had they killed MB outside the church, Capital Murder currently would not apply....Made me reconsider the entire intent of the break in and meandering nonchalantly about the building. Just something to chew on and keep us out of time out while we wait....

    Note:
~Impersonating a public servant is a third degree felony, however, I am not sure if that's elevated if it results in murder.
~Murder for hire is also a Capital charge, but at this point we don't know this to be true.
~Paying someone to commit Murder is also a Capital charge, but at this point we don't know this to be true.

I asked same question - not a peep a different would think the reporters would have been hunting h/she down. If it was a friend of mine and I knew that I drove with him back from Biloxi, I would have at least went on the public record and did a chat with LE and made sure news outlets were informed and clear on this fact to help eliminate undue suspicion on my friend. But that's just me <shrug>

Think while I was meandering nonchalantly, I would be grabbing some stuff and throwing it in a pile to look like B&E of course if there's a gun involved, I think I read here where B&E gets moved up a notch.

Think a gun is involved-why bring in the gun residue dog? I think the dog may be bomb sniffing also but I'm pretty
sure we would have heard something about a bomb - sealed warrant or no sealed warrant. News reporters would have sniffed that out and been all over it.

I keep thinking the fishing buddy is a woman. That might be the reason for withholding the name on BB's part. Even a plutonic female buddy would turn it into a circus. All MOO, of course.

Hi! Thank you for allowing me here! Sorry I was so confused how to post, so I sent message to the owners. Thank you!
Anyway, I found this site due to this case.

I just wanted to post that I've been watching that video of the killer over and over and I just had to say how disturbing it is to see that person so calm. I feel terrible watching it because that poor lady had no idea what was going to happen to her. I just feel horrible for her and her girls.

I thought many of the mannerisms looked to be female in nature. Maybe they are walking in that manner because they are loaded down with equipment underneath their clothing? IDK, it is so odd though. The little stumble and the touching of the wall seems like they were drunk..not that they were, but just very odd looking.

I felt they were somewhat familiar with the church. I thought it was interesting they went down one side of hall peering in doors and then turned around and went down other side, rather than walking across hall to each doorway as they made their way down the hall.

I thought it was interesting that for what they were about to do to another human being and had very little time once MB arrived, how cavalier they were while walking the halls. Nothing was rushed. Even hammering the glass and prying the doors was very routine looking, in a way.

To to me it was obviously planned out and they seem to feel very comfortable in there, and comfortable with when she would arrive.

it maybe was a hired hit? I can't imagine there are a bunch of these types of people around though. And obviously doesn't seem like a rage, spur of the moment murder.

IF a woman was jealous or thought or knew her husband was having an affair, and had other things going on in their life....like marriage not going well, etc.... I can see where a woman would premeditate this and kill her. And I could see how they would cover themselves up very well, so as to disguise themselves and also to fend off themselves against MB, hence not to get injured and leave DNA evidence.

These are really just my thoughts. I am just so disturbed with that video that I had to come somewhere and post my thoughts on it. I have been reading many of these posts. This is a wonderful site.

I just keep asking myself, how did the perp know there was no (or no working) burglar alarm? Either inside information or they did some research. But I suppose it will turn out to be just another one of those hindsight things.

I guess it depends on the person. I certainly would go to the police but I wouldn't go to the media. I am an introvert and the idea of public scrutiny like that would be horrible. If my friend asked me too I would but it wouldn't be my inclination. And since the police haven't released any information concerning their verification or lack of verification of alibis, I'm not surprised they haven't mentioned that person.

Someone here mentioned that if you have an alarm, there is paperwork that must be posted for the public to see, some kind of permit
