TX - Uvalde; Robb Elementary, 19 children and 3 adults killed, shooter dead, 24 MAY 2022 #3

"Why didn't they go in??"

(CNN)A mix of anger at local officials, frustration with the school division's police department and heart-breaking sadness over last month's mass shooting at Robb Elementary School dominated the open forum at Monday's school board meeting in Uvalde.

State officials provided a timeline of the massacre and have corrected crucial details amid public demands for information on how authorities handled the situation.

Thanks for this link!

So,
Red flags started showing way before his 18th birthday.

He even gave the exact date of the massacre to his online buddies:
"10 more days" !!!!

And they called him a "school shooter".

I am really at a loss how to comment it. :(

PS
I really appreciate the Texas Tribune effort.
Good job!

DPS Dir. Steven McCraw testifying NOW. He says there's "compelling evidence" that that the law enforcement response to the shooting "was an abject failure". He places blame on Uvalde UCISD police chief Pete Arredondo for not acting/sending officers to confront the shooter.

says officers could have stopped the gunman in Uvalde school shooting within three minutes.

The on-scene commander at Uvalde “waited for a radio, and rifles. Then he waited for shields. Then he waited for SWAT. Lastly, he waited for a key that was never needed.

McCraw says words like barricaded and contained didn’t apply to this situation. This was an active shooter

"There is compelling evidence the law enforcement response to the attack at Robb elementary was an abject failure and antithetical to everything we’ve learned over the last two decades since the Columbine massacre."

Texas DPS Director Steve McCraw says teachers -- not law enforcement -- should be praised for their actions one month ago today. He said police had enough firepower and protection to act far faster than they did. Teachers worked quickly to lock the school down and save lives.

Uvalde shooter’s “pathway to violence” began at lest eight months prior to the massacre at Robb Elementary,
@TxDPS Col McCraw said. “He had money” from a joint bank account w his grandmother to purchase gear

@lilialuciano

Call transcript between Arredondo and Dispatch

"Joint bank account with his grandmother"
WOW

This is ABSOLUTELY THE MOST POWERFUL TESTIMONY I have ever seen!!!!

Col. McCraw is an amazing man.

I'm taking notes - jumped on because of a break

But I have to say.....................

AP needs to be charged and see jail time for what he did. NO DOUBT IN MY MIND.

Florida is currently prosecuting the SRO from Parkland - trial coming up in the fall - and that guy was just an SRO that cowered outside the building and didn't go in.

:mad::mad::mad:

HE IS HOPPING MAD!!!!! As he should be.

He just challenged PA to come to the senate and testify and answer questions and quit hiding in his house!

Good for him!

OMG OMG OMG!!!

The officer whose wife (teacher) was shot and had called him to tell him she had been shot and was dying (which she did in the ambulance) -

Per McCraw - that officer tried to move forward in the hall and they (LE) TOOK HIS GUN AWAY AND REMOVED HIM FROM THE SCENE!!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG

How horrific. That poor man - my thoughts and prayers go out to him.
