GUILTY TX - Zoe Campos, 18, murdered, Lubbock, 17 Nov 2013 *Arrest*

Man in police custody providing information in Zoe Campos investigation

Nine days after a break in the missing person’s case of Zoe Campos, a man in police custody was being escorted around a house by police on Friday, Nov. 16. Officials say the man is providing information to police directly related to the search for the remains of Zoe Campos. A bone was discovered in the backyard of that same house on Nov. 7, 2018 after receiving tips to the Lubbock Police Department. The man, who was in handcuffs, was led into the house in the 1900 block of 70th Street through a side gate. The house is just west of Lowery Field.

The identity of the man has not been released to the media and there are no details on how long he has been in custody.

Almost to the day of the 5th anniversary of her disappearance too.

Wonder what the relationship was
This is the man she was introduced to at a mutual friend's house earlier the same day she disappeared, they exchanged numbers and she met up with him later that night to smoke weed. He was the last person known to have contact with her. I recommend listening to the Zoe Campos episode of Unfound Podcast - they speak about Carlos by name and in detail. The episode is long, but start at the 1 hour 22 minute mark to hear about Carlos.

I think it's interesting that in the Unfound episode they say that Carlos lived with his parents at the time of Zoe's disappearance. Did he manage to do this without them realizing or were they involved in the cover up?

I'm more interested in knowing if he was the one who bailed from her car

Carlos Rodriquez admitted to strangling Zoe Campos to death five years ago at his home in the 1900 block of 70th Street where the two smoked synthetic drugs, according to an arrest warrant released Monday.

The warrant indicates Rodriquez was a person of interest in the case since Campos was reported missing on Nov. 19, 2013. Police on Friday confirmed finding human remains in the backyard of the house Rodriquez once lived in, but were awaiting a Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s analysis to confirm its identification.

Rodriquez enters not guilty plea in Zoe Campos murder
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man accused of murdering 18-year-old Zoe Campos in November 2013 has entered a not guilty plea in court.

That plea comes despite 25-year-old Carlos Rodriquez' confession to police about how and why he killed the teen.
