Gang 'boasted' about jumping on head of teenager killed in park 'happy slap' attack

The gang who beat teenager Amar Aslam to death in a park bragged about having 'jumped a boy' and recorded his last moments on their mobile phones, it was claimed today.
James Taylor, 13,* told how he performed emergency first aid on 17-year-old Amar in the walled garden of the park in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, before paramedics arrived.

Bless James Taylor.

As police arrested three more British Asian youths in connection with the suspected gang killing in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, Amar's elder sister, Samreen, said: "Nothing can replace him. We still believe that he will come through the door." She is the latest in a procession of distraught relatives of young murder victims, including the families of London stabbing victims Rob Knox, who was murdered early on Saturday, and Jimmy Mizen.
The Labour MP for Dewsbury, Shahid Malik, called for "a change in society" and warned that too many young people were adopting a culture where violence was an accepted part of life.

Maybe something will be done now with all this news.

From December 2008:

A judge at Leeds crown court sentenced Amin Hussain Ali, 20, and Asif Khan, 16, to life imprisonment for the murder. Ibrar Hussain and Hassan Ali Rehman, both 16, were each sentenced to 24 months' detention and training orders for manslaughter...

He ordered Khan to serve a minimum of nine years and Ali 12 years in prison, and imposed a three-year concurrent sentence on both for robbery.

Ali and Khan, both of Ravensthorpe, West Yorkshire, entered guilty pleas last month, on the day their trial was due to begin. Hussain and Rehman, both also from Ravensthorpe, admitted manslaughter a day later.
