This is why the UK should adopt the Amber Alert system

I agree that the Amber Alert would be a good idea here....but based on the description of the vehicle would that have helped considering that MB's car doesn't match that at all?

"April Jones was last seen playing on her bicycle with friends near her home in the town around 7:30 BST on Monday.

She was seen getting into a light coloured van which then drove off."

Another picture of MB has been pushlished by the Daily Mail here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-refuses-hope-hundreds-try-missing-April.html

Oh dear - I am getting so confused - I really would trust a man with that face! He looks so kind.

I am so afraid now that there is more to this than just MB. Don't the police have enough evidence? Or - perhaps they do, but the police will question, question, question him for as long as they can, because if and when they charge him, they are legally not allowed to question him any more after that

opal, so in the UK you cannot be further questioned after being charged with a crime?

Apart from him not looking like someone who would commit such a crime (which means nothing, I guess), he also doesn't fit the profile for child abductors. I Googled various things and he just doesn't fit - which also means nothing ultimately.

Now that pink ribbons have been introduced as a show of solidarity (because spending all hours in the cold and wet searching for April didn't show that) a fund is now being set up for the family. Surely if a fund is required it is for the search and rescue teams at this point?

Something is amiss and I don't know what. :(

That is correct as I understand it. The person then has to go to a proper prison on remand awaiting trial. I think he may talk to the police voluntarily, but they may not hold him any longer themselves for questioning.

That's not correct, I'm afraid. However, if the person charged has asked for legal advice the police are usually not allowed to ask any questions until after the prisoner has had a chance to talk to a solicitor. Also, if the police do want to ask further questions, the prisoner has the right to ask for the solicitor to be present during questioning.

The council set it up on the request of many of the villagers, its not that uncommon in cases like this and Im sure the money will be used as required. But I know what youre thinking, thats very cynical at this point

-Police update right now says all searches are continuing regardless of weather tonight.

-Over 2500 new calls have come in, they need to go through every single one.

-Can't comment on whether they're investigating anyone other than MB.

I don't even know what I am thinking from one moment to the next but I am feeling that there is a lot of 'distraction' going on, like the whirlwind in the Wizard Of Oz. Lots of activity and not a lot of specifics...and when one thing is underway something else is introduced. It's almost like a paint by numbers situation with everyone painting a different colour at the same time so all the lines are blurred.

Poor little girl has cerebral palsy. I'm concerned about suspects being named before being charged after what happened with the landlord in Joanna Yates case. Police are searching this guys home as we speak
