(This article has a more detailed description of what Elizabeth Kinston was wearing at the time of her disappearance.)

Hoping she just wanted to go off-the-grid temporarily.

Her husband and sister were appearing on This Morning (TV show) today but I didn't see it because I'm at work.

Unfortunately I feel very strongly that this won't have a happy ending and it's just a matter of finding her body.

Oh how sad. I to hope she just took off. Was she on meds at all?

I lived in Nottingham for 3 years. This struck me- 'before parking in the Broad Marsh car park in the city centre at 11.33am.'

I can't think why you'd park at Broad Marsh unless you were a) going shopping or b) taking the 10 second walk to the train station. So, my guess is she got the train. But where to?

Apparently before this she visited a petrol station. To buy what? I'm guessing not petrol so...medicines? Alcohol?

'We know she has old friends in Birmingham and trains indeed departed for Birmingham that day' - to me this is pretty insignificant. Notts - Birmingham are both major destinations and trains run between the two multiple times a day, if not multiple times an hour.

'Detective believe she may have got as far as the Castle Marina Retail Park before going missing' - about a 5 minute drive from BM car park and train station. The canal there isn't as prominent as it perhaps sounds - the title 'marina' is certainly an overstatement!

I know none of that is particularly helpful, but may make sense of that article a little more.

    All IMO JMO

Prayers that Elizabeth is reunited with her family very soon.

They've just said on the main evening news bulletin that it is Elizabeth but not found online confirmation yet. Extremely sad... thoughts with her family.

It's so sad, that she as a doctor, didn't get the right treatment. I feel bad for her family and they have a hard road ahead to deal with this.

    First,

I am very saddened to hear that this didn't turn out with a happy ending. I am incredibly sad for the family involved.

If I am honest, I am still not completely sure this was a suicide. Why? Because it has not yet been ruled a suicide by the coroner. When and if they come to that conclusion, I will have no further questions.

In the meantime, I wonder when we will hear more about this. I must say the way she has disappeared and where she was found is unusual. It's not completely unusual for someone to commit suicide outside of the home, though it is not the higher percentage. Some studies I have since read tell me that about 77% of suicides (in America-I could not find any UK studies on this) happen in the home.

Am I alone in my thoughts?

    Hope to hear more soon.

    Cheers,

    snip

One person - very perceptive - who read the case early on sensed that something might be amiss.

Most others, though, seemed to accept the post-natal depression/inevitably a suicide scenario.

    It does make me wonder.

The police have said they are not treating her death as suspicious. The test results will take a few weeks to come back. I reckon she took an overdose.
It reminds me of another mother with post natal depression who went missing earlier this year. She said she was going to the shops for a pint of milk but instead went to a field and killed herself.
