Police hunt for student, 22, who vanished during night out in Glasgow as items belonging to her are found in the River Clyde

Emily Hope, 22, went missing after leaving Mango nightclub in the city centre at around 2am on Saturday morning.

She is said to have walked off on her own, and one friend says no-one could find her or see where she went.

I hope she's safe and found soon. The flooding and snow and hailstones have been unreal over the weekend. It would have been easy to get confused especially in the dark.

This isn't looking good so I really hope they find her a.s.a.p

I noted this also. The police put out an appeal very quickly after her disappearance and described her as vulnerable.

Too many young people ending up in water. Such a shame!

Any chance she was with Lewis Simpson, also missing from a nightclub by the River Clyde on Saturday night?

I wondered this, but Emily went missing early hours of Saturday didn't she? And Lewis early hours of Sunday?
It's not out of the realms of possibilty at all though!

So it's says "1 am Sunday" for him and Saturday night for her....thinking that is all the same?

Edited: I am the one that said Saturday night in my first post lol. The article does say Saturday morning. Pouring some more coffee!

Not a massive distance (19 minute walk according to Google Maps) between Mango Nightclub where Emily was last seen and John Street where Lewis was last seen.
It's certainly a massive coincidence!

I hope this isn't another case of a young man ending up in the water. The Clyde has claimed a lot of lives lately. The area Lewis was seen last in is a very busy area. I hope he's found safe.

Doubt these cases are in any way connected. Huge time difference and it appears Emily willingly went down to the river herself.

Any chance one went in to help the other?

They went missing 21 hours apart so really not likely at all. I sadly do think they are both in the river though but I really feel they’re completely unconnected incidents:
