I think it’s time to consider that PR is not involved in LS disappearance at all. I know we all would like to believe he knows what has happened to her but I don’t believe he does.
He has come to the attention of the LE during there investigation into LS. They have probably seen him acting suspiciously while reviewing the cctv footage and brought him in for questioning. His prints and dna would be taken and this is what linked him to the offences he is charged with.
As the LE continue to search in a very narrow area and that no one else has been arrested this would lead me to believe that LE think LS has just wondered off and maybe fallen out of sight and the cold weather has unfortunately led to something unthinkable happening. The authorities are still saying it is a missing persons investigation and that it obviously what the evidence is leading them to believe and not abduction or worse.

I don’t agree at all.

With all the cctv nowadays, can somebody really just disappear without a trace? I get that they might not recover a body sometimes but they usually still piece bits together and form an accurate conclusion. Even when RAF Corrie M went missing, they captured his final whereabouts and we know now that he likely ended up in waste disposal.
She was last seen at the bus stop apparantly (if it isn't Libby on the cctv getting in the car), so what happened then? Where did she go? Where did the car on cctv go as cctv is EVERYWHERE. If they suspect she's under water then where are the divers? They seem extremely focused on that park but have found nothing yet. What is their next lead?
Why are they not giving us any information?

I'm baffled why you think the police owe you any information.

Police always say it is a missing persons investigation until they find hard evidence of death.

Happy to be corrected if I've got this wrong but did he not admit to meeting her the night she disappeared?

I always take a lot of convincing of guilt .. which imo is not a bad thing ..although imo its likely he has harmed her i do not see it as a done deal yet ..it all hangs on how sure they are he picked her up ..which they must have something on him to arrest him on abduction...otherwise he is just a sexual deviant who happens to operate in the area

Yes, you are right. I'm finally giving up on it being an accident. BUT where is poor Libby? Held captive somewhere?

I’m afraid my opinion is that she is not being held alive.

But anything is possible and one must not give up hope, Jayme’s recent case is an example of this.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be looking up the moment.

It is worth mentioning that the type of questioning he will have undergone here is very very different to the kind he would receive in poland.

If he has been properly advised then the police have no chance of getting anything from him.

I agree with the people who think that he is likely to be working alone.
Sex offending is rarely a team exercise , only a small amount of cases where more than one man was involved.
This of course is a function of the element of power in this type of offence.
A man who commits this kind of offence wants to feel the power of being in total control....introduce another man into that equation and some of the power seeps away.

I would not be thinking accomplice here.

I also think that the reason his wife was so little involved in the investigation is simply that due to childcare arrangements, i think that they probably worked opposing shifts to one another.
This would mean that she was probably working at the time of the incident...thus being unable to give anything useful.

Certainly more to come with this chap i reckon

His wife had a toddler and a newborn so had more concerns than his whereabouts . She was also on maternity leave

No way IMO. The police specifically asked media not to publish the CCTV footage on Sunday, days before PR was arrested. That tells us it's related and they have some evidence of Libby moving from the street. That CCTV coincides with her last known location and is less than 10m from where she was.

On the balance of probability it makes more sense to think he was involved.

Yes more people might come forward to say they had a man in their garden/peeping through curtains or windows. Ewww. Makes me want to shut my curtains tight now

I suspect there will be an army of women who have had some sort of uncomfortable encounter with this creep. When I was 23 a guy I had known for years exposed himself to me in my own student accommodation and then put a disposable camera through my letter box, with a note asking me to take intimate photos. He had been at it with a squad of other women locally too and his fiancée knew nothing about it. It was only when I started talking to mutual friends about what had happened that we realised how deep his problems ran.
Wasn't a large bunch of keys taken away by Police?

God knows how many bunches of keys to properties, sheds, garages and vehicles he has accumulated over the years. All this and with a toddler and newborn on the go. Where does he find the time.

I tend to agree ... I'm not at all convinced that he was the cigarette roller putting a girl into a car ...

96 hours and not a single charge relating to Libbys disappearance?!?

As advanced as forensics is these days, if they could have charged him, they would ...

Humberside police have said nothing about PR being the guy in the Daily Fail CCTV video ...

If they do ... I'll rethink.

For now ... I'm back to square one!

That square does NOT contain a blue coat wearing shrugger OR a grey haired bearded man OR a taxi driver!

Blimey. I literally just changed my mind from 'it was an accident.' See the above is what I was saying all along. But now I read all the above from this morning, I think he is implicated and he has held her hostage for his own deviancy.

Where are you Libby?

Welcome Griffinlay :)

It takes time to process evidence so this investigation is still in progress, imo.

My opinion is that LE has not ruled out a possible abduction, and murder, unfortunately.

It would be quite the coincidence if this guy didn’t have anything to do with Libby disappearing imo, last seen with, proximity, sexual offenses...But crazy coincidences to occur and we have seen plenty of them on WS.

The other thing I’m wondering is , he’s been charged with these things today but we aren’t allowed to know if he has any previous convictions? I would imagine when the police are looking at an abduction of a young girl they would pull up a data base of all petty type criminals in local area ? Who knows he could have been charged in the past for ‘sex’ type offences ?

I’d wager that most of these incidents only came to light after he was arrested and questions started getting asked in the local area. A

Plus, the media might have actually helped by putting his photo out there. Some might have recognized him as the guy who peeped through a window or was masturbating publicly.

So his sister told the media that Libby was in his car for a joke then? I can't decide whether you're actually being serious or not.

LE very obviously believes he is responsible for Libby's death but doesn't have the evidence to prove it yet. Hopefully they will find it.

I hope I am wrong but they have questioned him for days, searched his house with SOCO, done the same with his car, reviewed hundreds of hours of cctv and had hundreds of calls from the public. All that and he gets charged with stealing sex toys. It doesn’t make sense.

You may have missed the connection between stealing women's property and sexually motivated murder. Together with burglary and voyuerism, there is a very strong link. As others have posted up thread, him doing these things in Libby's street is extremely unlikely to be a coincidence.

stealing sex toys or underwear is not to be taken lightly and the police know that.

I think more evidence processing time is needed. I’m not sure how quickly things run in the UK, but here a DA is going to want a strong case with no chance of someone walking free. This takes time and not everything is like in “CSI”, as American LE has been known to say.
