Whats the custody time limit of the 5th of September, does this mean he can't be held longer than this if for some reason it doesn't go to trial?

Just a thought about him wearing the same crumpled tracksuit for the third time in a row.
It’s unlikely that he’s had any visitors whilst on remand, as surely somebody would have brought him a change of clothes. Maybe something smarter for court?

You'd imagine a significant portion of his wardrobe was taken as evidence.

Surely someone could have nipped to a shop for something a bit smarter than that bloody tracksuit! It looks like he’s been sleeping in it.

Indictable only Offences - the time limit is 182 days from the date a case is sent under s.51 Crime and Disorder Act 1998, less any time spent in custody (if remanded by the magistrates' court) prior to sending (Regulation 5 (6B)).

    (From the CPS Website)

Well, they are the sort of clothes he likes to 'work' in. So may feel comfortable.

I'm not sure... I'd say no personally.

An abduction/murder trial would need much longer preparation time I'd have thought.

    Just a guess though.

I can’t think of any UK trials where someone has even charged with abduction and the abductee is missing. Murder trials seem to take approx 6 months to come to trial

I was thinking more of her being found. But you're right, even if she turned up this week it probably wouldn't be enough preparation time.

Well done Joelle. Another thought about the need for 10 days in July..........all the translating that's going to be necessary!

The grey tracksuit will have been prison-issued, rather than his own. On the subject of the grey tracksuit bottoms/boot-like shoes in the spidercam footage, does anyone else suspect it might be the same get-up PR is wearing in the attached pic?

It’s exactly the same grey tracksuit he wore on his first Magistrates appearance after being in police custody. Probably got arrested in it.

That photo was taken years ago.
Even if he did still have the get-up, I doubt it would fit anymore.

Hi Pisces, Not for me. As regards the spidercam footage I see very light (white) stretchy three quarter length pants similar to what are called capris. He uses a pocket which is further forward than a side pocket. I've seen similar worn to the gym on occasion. He seems to have a 6" space above some socks. If he still attends a gym he may have carried a change of gym gear in his boot. The footage is hard work and a probable cause for my square eyes!

Yeh Jodie Chesney accused trial date has been set for September so 6 months looks about right.

Ahh, thanks for your insight (and remarkable eyesight)! I keep seeing joggers tucked into boots, but it seems everyone else is seeing shorts.
