3 counts of masterbating in a public place , boxing day 2018 and 2 in January of this year.

Flashing to me somehow has furtive overtones to it , masturbating in public tho is just insane.

Okay, but no mention of the PERSON, which is my point. In a legal sense the PERSON is your corporeal body. In that sense he has caused no (direct physical) harm. I'm not trying to claim these are 'victimless' crimes, or that they do not cause harm, distress or pain. But there is a definite difference between these and crimes AGAINST THE PERSON.

I'm making a specific distinction of causing direct physical harm to the PERSON, face-to-face, as opposed to causing distress to a 'victim'.

From a perpetrators point of view, a burglar could operate for 50 years, causing pain and distress to multiple people, yet on a person to person basis NEVER be capable of raising a hand to harm another PERSON.

So, how are we bridging the gap from these petty crimes to a serious physical crime. I'm not a follower of criminology, this is my first involvement in something like this.

What would be the pattern to escalate from such petty crimes for self gratification, particularly with a sexual element, to major physical crimes against a person?
Perhaps he just needed to do just a bit more to get the same sexual self gratification. Maybe he'd been thinking about other things whilst offending public decency.

A burglar doesn't need to escalate for the same reward. Steal, sell, get reward of cash.

Yep. And don't forget he was arrested the beginning of Feb. So in terms offences per week he was getting quite prolific.

All these charges I’m wondering what his wife thinks? I didn’t want to believe he’d be capable of such disgusting acts. I’m starting to believe they must be true. They seem to have a lot of evidence and witnesses. I do worry about his wife and their kids. I can’t imagine the backlash they’re receiving because of it. My thoughts are with Libby and her family first and foremost but I also pray for strength for his family too. I’m sure they’re mortified.

I imagine that by July, Pawel will be considerably larger in size. Every time I see him, he appears to have put on more weight. I’m just wondering if this a clever ploy to alter his appearance as much as he can in time for the trial.

In jails they often feed you a lot of stodgy/high carb foods, apparently it makes people more lethargic - and definitely makes most gain weight.

I'd agree. The opportunistic rape and accidental killing would have left a trail.

The leap from petty perv to murderer - I'm not sure. The charges are really scary to the victims. And there already must be a degree of planning. He's already entering into people's houses to steal personal items. Nobody knows what could be going through his mind as fantasy.

I find the receiving a stolen phone belonging to a woman a bit disturbing. Could it be an accomplice with similar tastes.
I was thinking the same. But although the leap from perv to murderer might be a big one, the leap from perv to "accidental " murderer could be a small one. Especially if he was putting himself in high risk situations.

I thought before that his crimes so far were quite small time, but looking at them all together the guys like a one man perv machine!

There are also probably other crimes people are too embarrassed to report I think.

And he might even have been in peoples houses without them realising . . . So no crime to report.

It would be interesting to know if his victims knew each other.

And I don’t buy that he received a stolen phone, more likely he stole it but the level of evidence to prove that he did isn’t strong enough that a jury would find him guilty of burglary or theft.

He had a phone that wasn’t his in his possession, receiving easier to prove imo

Definitely jessie, as Vermont as already stated.

Sadly, he neglected to mention ,as background knowledge, that neither is 'Proper' Yorkshire, that is a Divine boundaried area mortally known as 'West Yorkshie'

And then there's the best bit of it all - North Yorkshire

EDIT just saw someone already confirmed it:

And everyone forgetting god’s own country, North Yorkshire :)

The charge involving watching three people in a private act, was that in the same street as LS lived? Is it possible that if he did pick her up in his car that night, he could have offered to show her (through a window or by some other means) the trio performing their private act?

Ah this seems more plausible for the phone. That one had me confused too. Because I know people will steal to order but requesting a phone belonging specifically to a female would be a strange ask.

That said, how is stealing the PS4 or vibrators any easier to prove than the phone? Why are they not down as receipt of stolen goods?

I’m guessing forensic evidence, fingerprints/any deposits he may have left. Someone could think they’d mislaid their phone somewhere because it’s an item that you take out of the house so they may not have phoned the police

Very imaginative, but there's no such charge. The three people weren't together. He's been charged with three separate offences of voyeurism on different dates.

And if they did report, police may have supplied a crime number for insurance purposes rather than send any SOCO s round

My mistake Cherwell - just came home and I read a headline on the internet about him watching three people in a private act. I misunderstood it that he had watched a threesome - I have since had time to read the charges so realise that the three people were not together.
