A Russian man wanted by the UK over the novichok poisoning of the Skripals says he will comment on the case next week.

They've had an interview with Russia Today. If this is them, I think they must have had their hair dyed darker when they came to the UK.

Just tourists apparently. Spent two days in a hotel in East London but when sightseeing in Salisbury both days.

In the interview, Boshirov said that while they walked around Salisbury, the two men “maybe approached Skripal’s house, but we didn’t know where it was located”.

"Punk protest group Pussy Riot says the life of Pyotr Verzilov, one of its members and a Russian-Canadian dual citizen, is in danger and they believe he has been poisoned.

Russian news reports on Wednesday said Mr. Verzilov, who is also the publisher of an alternative news website, is in hospital in grave condition. Mr. Verzilov spent years in Toronto as a teenager and recently made headlines when he was one of four activists to run onto the field at the FIFA World Cup final.

Veronika Nikulshina, a fellow Pussy Riot member, said Mr. Verzilov’s symptoms included losing his eyesight and ability to speak. She said he was being treated in the toxicology unit at a Moscow hospital. The band in a tweet described Mr. Verzilov as its friend, brother and comrade.

“We think that he was poisoned,” the group said in the tweet.

“They didn’t come on to me,” she added."

The British media are just spinning the 'official line' on all of this. Most people will sit and watch the 10 o'clock news and imbibe everything they see and hear as the honest truth because 'they wouldn't lie to us because that kind of thing doesn't happen here'.

Remember Dr David Kelly (who also happened to work at Porton Down) 'killed himself' with a sub-toxic dose of paracetamol and codeine and a penknife. A pathologist I was working with at the time described it as 'complete bull....'. There was also no Coroner's Inquest which there should have been for a sudden or unexplained death. There were also no Inquests for the victims of the July 7 2005 London bombing victims, just a Government 'official narrative.'

I wouldn't trust any British Government (or the British Intelligence Services for that matter) as far as I could throw them.

The proximity of Porton Down to all of this is not, in my opinion, a co-incidence.

Salisbury novichok-poisoned officer Nick Bailey quits
''A police officer who was poisoned in the Salisbury Novichok attack has quit because he "can no longer do the job".

Det Sgt Nick Bailey was contaminated with the nerve agent at the home of Sergei and Yulia Skripal, the targets of the poisoning operation.

He returned to duty last year, but said the aftermath took "so much from me" and "I had to admit defeat".

He worked for Wiltshire Police for 18 years and feels "so sad" after wanting to be an officer since his teens.''

UK coroner asks for public inquiry into Novichok poisonings
''LONDON (AP) - A coroner presiding over an inquest into the death of British woman who was poisoned by a Soviet-developed nerve agent after an attack targeting a Russian ex-spy said Wednesday that she wants the probe to be turned into a public inquiry so she can examine Russia's possible involvement.

Unlike an inquest, British law allows a public inquiry to consider sensitive intelligence material during partly closed hearings. The inquiry coroner Heather Hallett requested to consider any role played by the Russian government in the 2018 death of Dawn Sturgess would be unlikely to start before 2023.

Sturgess, 44, and her partner collapsed in the southwest England town of Amesbury after coming into contact with a small perfume bottle containing Novichok, a military grade nerve agent.

The pair were exposed three months after Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter were sickened in a Novichok attack in the nearby city of Salisbury.

Adam Straw, a lawyer representing Sturgess' family and her partner, Charlie Rowley, said the “overriding concern is to ensure the truth of how Ms. Sturgess died is established.”

Dawn Sturgess: Novichok death inquiry begins next week


A public inquiry into how a British woman was fatally poisoned after being exposed to the Russian nerve agent Novichok will begin next week.

Dawn Sturgess died in 2018 after coming into contact with the solution on a perfume bottle in Amesbury, Wiltshire.

A public inquiry was ordered by Home Secretary Priti Patel to establish the extent of Russian involvement in Ms Sturgess' death.

It will be chaired by former Supreme Court judge Lord Hughes of Ombersley.

The inquiry will start on 17 March and the current inquest will be suspended, the home secretary wrote in a ministerial statement.

"This is an important step in ensuring that the family of Dawn Sturgess get the answers they need," she added.

The chairman of a public inquiry has promised a "rigorous investigation" of potential Russian involvement in the death of Novichok victim Dawn Sturgess.

Ms Sturgess, 44, died in July 2018 in Amesbury, Wiltshire, after coming into contact with the nerve agent in what she thought was a bottle of perfume.

Lord Hughes, who will head the inquiry, said recent world events highlighted the importance of "clear conclusions".

''Three Russian agents suspected of being responsible for the 2018 Salisbury poisonings will have the evidence against them “tested” at a public inquiry into what happened.

A lawyer has been asked to “put on the hat” of suspects Denis Sergeev, Alexander Mishkin and Anatoliy Chepiga, who used the aliases Sergey Fedotov, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov respectively while in the UK.
