A very cold case which is being reopened.

Cold case detectives reopen the investigation into the ‘Red Shoe Murder’ of a four-year-old girl in 1946 after the victim's cousin penned a book about the killing

Looking through some old UK cases, I found an article in the Times archive about Norma's case and they mention her when reporting about the murder of 10 year old Sheila Gowrie, 4 months later in January 1947 in Manchester. Both girls were strangled, both appeared to have been placed somewhere different from where they were murdered and both were missing their right shoe. Article is here -

I can't seem to find anything more about Sheila Gowrie's case so not sure if that also remains unsolved.
