    Does Northern Ireland have its own flag now? All the other British states do but, the last time I checked, N.I. didn't. What are they flying when they are not flying the Union flag?

    England's flag is the Flag of St. George for instance. The Union flag is the flag of the entire U.K. as I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong.:waitasec:

    Union Jack. I'm assuming they display nothing during the off-days. Good question.

    Reminds me quite a bit of those in certain states who wish to continue flying the confederate flag.

    It is difficult to believe (to say the least) that the Unionists protesting don't realize the feelings that the flag might invoke, and see the wisdom - if not the compassion - of limiting its use.

    There is an in-your-face-ness to it that definitely rankles, and I'm sure that is deliberate.
