Richard Huckle: Paedophile faces multiple life sentences for abusing ‘up to 200 children’ in Malaysia
    Matt Payton
    The Independent (UK)
10 hours ago (as at 01:57 AEST 3/6/2016)

Huckle wrote a paedophile manual entitled "Paedophiles And Poverty: Child Lover Guide" as well as a "Pedopoints ledger" in which he detailed rapes and various sex acts PA

'A freelance photographer who targeted children while working in Malaysia faces multiple life sentences after admitting 71 offences of child abuse.

23 victims from mainly poor Christian families were identified, although it is believed Huckle may have abused up to 200 young victims.

He first visited Malaysia on a teaching gap year when he was 18 or 19 and went on to groom children while doing voluntary work.'

Richard Huckle, 30, from Ashford in Kent, confessed to an unprecedented number of offences against children between the ages of six months to 12-years-old from 2006 and 2014.

Of the offences he pleaded guilty to, 22 carry discretionary life sentences and 18 of these are multiple incident counts.

Huckle gained access to the children in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur while posing as a Christian English teacher doing good deeds.'

Everything about him is vile IMO. This paragraph from the first post on this thread is what 'punches me in the guts':

'Richard Huckle, 30, from Ashford in Kent, confessed to an unprecedented number of offences against children between the ages of six months to 12-years-old from 2006 and 2014.'

From 'six months'! It's a shame he's not being extradited to Malaysia to face child sexual offences. If he made it through remand, AFAIK he would be sentenced to death. I can't say I'd protest against that outcome. Scum!

Richard Huckle 'deeply remorseful' for child sex abuse, court told
    Haroon Siddique
    The Guardian
    Friday 3 June 2016 22.36 AEST

'In presentencing mitigation at the Old Bailey in London on Friday, his lawyer, Philip Sapsford QC, argued that his client deserved credit for his confession and the remorse he has shown.

Sapsford said that in the combined 70 years’ experience of the defence team they had “never ever acknowledged an admission of guilt of this magnitude”.

He said Huckle had opened himself up to the prospect of receiving 22 life sentences.

Sapsford described his client as “a vulnerable young man” who claimed to have suffered from depression in his teenage years, was withdrawn and lacked confidence with women.

Richard Huckle: 5 Facts About Britain’s Worst Pedophile
By Elazje Carene Pytch Carillo on June 2, 2016
    Morning Ledger

'5. He was part of a pedophile site called ‘Love Zone’.

Richard Huckle sold images and videos to his fellow predators. The online predators, including Huckle, used bitcoin as their currency. ‘Love Zone’ is an encrypted network for pedophiles on the Dark Web. Users are protected by passwords and remained anonymous. Members of the site have to regularly post images of abusing babies to be able to remain as a member. The Australian Task Force Argos investigated the man behind the site. Enforcers were able to locate Shannon McCoole. After getting arrested, the police took over the site posing as the convicted pedophile. This operation led to the discovery of Richard Huckle’s identity.

I couldn't agree more. Remorseful? Sure, he's just sorry he was caught.

And it would be carried out quickly, without lengthy appeals and emotional protests in Malaysia. I believe in the UK, 25 years is the longest sentence they give? But would they make it run consecutively? The main thing is he is away from society for the rest of his life.

Many have depression and lack confidence with the opposite sex. Few turn to sex crimes on minors.

Tankfully the U.K. have laws that makes it possible to sentense a person for crimes against children even if the crimes have happened abroad. The same is true for Sweden, a person here can be jailed for pedophilia even if the crime has happened in a country where it wasn't illegal. How is it in the U.S. and in other countries?

I've never heard of that happening in the U.S. It sounds like a good and necessary law, though.

A similar law is in force in Australia:

Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sexual Offences Against Children) Act 2010

    https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/C2010A00042

If you're interested, you can download a .pdf:

Still, as much as I am against the death penalty, I can't say I don't harbour dark thoughts about child sex offenders, such as Richard Huckle, standing before a Malaysian firing squad.

    From another WS thread: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...l-NSW-12-Sept-2014-21&p=12614451#post12614451

GET THIS! Other pedos were crowd funding each other!

More than 20,000 images of child pornography were found on Richard Huckle’s computer along with a 60-page manual called "Paedophiles And Poverty: Child Lover Guide".

The 30-year-old admitted to crowdfunding his near-decade long crime spree by taking donations from other pedophiles using an underground website called "PedoFunding".

Donors would then be given access to videos of him abusing children, with Huckle having written he "would love to make a small income off selling child porn."

In another post Huckle wrote how he had "hit the jackpot, a three-year-old girl as loyal to me as my dog and nobody seemed to care."

Huckle has pleaded guilty to 71 charges, including against 23 children in Kuala Lumpur, although he is believed to have abused as many as 200 children.

Per the article posted above, his family has disowned him. He deserves it. They must be devastated.

    ABC News online
    Tue 7 Jun 2016
    4:52 PM AEST

'The life prison sentence imposed on British child rapist Richard Huckle was criticised on Tuesday as too light in Malaysia, where he sexually abused scores of children and babies.'

'"191 child victims, 22 Malaysians, 20,000 indecent images, 22 life sentences but… this monster could be out in 24 years," read a lengthy headline in leading Malaysian daily The Star.'

'The New Straits Times said "A thousand years is not enough", echoing the cry from a woman in the public gallery as Huckle was led out of court.'
