Hopefully the jury is back today, maybe a verdict?

I didn't notice when I posted the above that there was also another murder case listed on the law pages for court 5. I suppose they didn't expect the jury in this case to come back today - wonder what would have happened if they had indicated they were ready to give verdicts?

Court 5 at 10am trial of three family members accused of the murder of 10 year old Sara Sharif, whose body was discovered at her home in Woking, Surrey. The child’s father, Urfan Sharif, 42, stepmother, Beinash Batool, 30, and uncle, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of murder and to causing or allowing the death of a child between December 16 2022 and August 9 2023. The father admitted punishing her for being”naughty” after fleeing to Pakistan. Sara’s body was found with dozens of injuries, and she had been hooded, burned and beaten during more than two years of abuse.
Court 5 at 10.30am trial of brothers Paul and Matthew Yusuff and their friend Moussa Traore accused of the fatal stabbing of Adrian Kise, 32, outside Waterloo station.'

They would just clear the courtroom for the verdicts and the other trial would be temporarily adjourned.I didn't notice when I posted the above that there was also another murder case listed on the law pages for court 5. Not if the jury are still out - there's nothing to report. And as they did not sit on Thursday or Friday it's not that surprising they're still out. Maybe tomorrow!

Yesterday the law pages showed both this case and the other one in Court 5 all day, and the Old Bailey site showed the case in Court 5 at 10 and the other case at 1030, so I thought the jury had gone to deliberate and the courtroom was not required. Today is different - they aren't on at all. I hope that means they did sit yesterday. But it's still discouraging.

It might mean nothing because at times thelawpages is shockingly unreliable. For example, Hassan Sentamu's trial is into its' 2nd day in Court 15 at the Old Bailey and there's no mention of it at all on TLP but there's a journalist live-blogging from the courtroom.

I wonder if the jury member is still ill.
Thanks, Dotta, and of course Dragon. I think it is clear from the meagre available evidence that the jury did deliberate yesterday, though not today.

I have always wondered why this little girls murder didn't feature more prominent in the media except for Guilford dragon I felt I was always trawling msm to find an article . And if I did come across one it was buried in other nonsense stories . I was very surprised that Daily mail with it notoriety for rehashing details didn't run the story more
