He changed his trousers JMO. I commented earlier that his light coloured trousers looked clean at the service station at 2am ish. Looking at the video cam of him talking to SE near the car before kidnapping her, I think he was wearing different trousers. You can't tell colour from these cctv things well, but the earlier ones looked darker and a different shape.

Killer cop Wayne Couzens's wife Olena 'silently watched him face justice' | Daily Mail Online

He didn't change his clothes

The court heard how the morning after murdering Sarah, Mr Couzens went into a Costa Coffee in Biggin Street, Dover, where he bought a hot chocolate with coconut milk and a Bakewell Tart, while still wearing the same clothing as the previous evening.

Wayne Couzens took kids to woods where he left Sarah Everard's burned body

I welcome any police reform from this case but that’s certainly not the only change needed. I would hope that the laws on flashing will change as a result of this case. Flashing need to be treated much more seriously - as far as I’m concerned all flashers are highly dangerous potential rapists and should be treated as such.

You might have to rewind or forward-wind, but this radio interview starts at approx 10:15 minutes (or shortly after) and is an interview with Assistant Chief Constable of Sussex Police Jane Dando who mentions, amongst other things about this case, Flashing/indecent exposure has been extensively reviewed in last 2 weeks, and they've learnt a lot more about what that crime is going forward, how they are going to manage it and taking note whether they've had repeat calls about it.

I knew they didn't really follow up flashing incidents or make a picture of it but I personally thought this was due to lack of Police time/resources/incompetence - I had no idea they had no official process in place to plot these things in the first place!! I'm shocked to the core. Women like Sarah and Libby Squire (the case where it was all about repeated indecent exposure in one area that ended up escalating, as they tend to do to more sexual crimes and murder) and all the others have been let down.

Sorry it is another DMOnline(!), but this shows an insight to his personality and self-confidence in himself saying "I have all manner of skills which I can bring to an acting role":-

"Couzens, who raped and murdered Sarah Everard, touted himself as an actor on an online talent directory, with his profile (above) including a picture of him in uniform

In December, he set up a page on dating website Match.com, claiming that he was separated and living in Canterbury.

He also touted himself as an actor on an online talent directory, with his profile including a picture of him in uniform. He described himself as an officer specialising in counter terrorism, contrary to police guidance."

Where is the link to the actor page please?

I got into a bit of an argument on another forum that was heavy with men, about flashing, when the TV personality was caught masturbating on a zoom meeting. The men thought it was no big deal and that he thought he was off air. HE was in the middle of a meeting and had spoken just moments before. I came in for some abuse and was called a prude and I was what was wrong with the world and I was why men rape, because of being outraged at a normal activity.
I was gobsmacked.

Prison Service will 'have a hard time' protecting Wayne Couzens | Daily Mail Online

The Prison Service will 'have a hard time' protecting Sarah Everard's killer Wayne Couzens who will soon wish he had been hanged instead, it was claimed today.

Couzens will die behind bars after he was sentenced yesterday for kidnapping, raping and murdering the marketing executive from South London in March.

Insiders said 'every prisoner in the country is going to want to a pop at' Couzens, who has initially been sent to HMP Belmarsh in Thamesmead, South East London.

He will undergo an assessment at the Category A jail before joining the 'dispersal system' of five top-security jails from which inmates are moved without warning.

These are Frankland in County Durham, Full Sutton in North Yorkshire, Long Lartin in Worcestershire, Wakefield in West Yorkshire and Whitemoor in Cambridgeshire.

In 2019 after the rape and murder of a student by someone with a history of flashing I heard a representative of the police promising to treat this crime far more seriously and urging women to report it!

This morning I experienced Deja Vu as yet another police representative promised to treat this crime more seriously and urging women to come forward after the rape and murder of yet another young woman by a man with a history of flashing

Both of those murdering, raping pieces of scum could have been caught had the crime been treated seriously. Neither were treated seriously because it isn't taken seriously.

How long does it take to realise it's not a joke it's a dangerous mind set

A grossly disturbing picture, and I'm not sure how to phrase this, but is it possible that this was a joint venture, that the "experience" was shared with his like-minded associates? We know that paedophiles on the Dark Web have to submit proof of themselves abusing a victim in order to join a group. could something similar be happening with violent sex offenders?

Unlikely, it is likely it is like the ones the Cricketers were caught doing several years back & various groups of college guys here & in the US-they have these little forums/chat apps where they rate women, talk about how much they would 'like to rape' certain women, generally denigrate women etc.

From the previous thread where somebody was pushing for extreme *advertiser censored* legislation-it was done as a knee-jerk, vote winning thing after the Jane Longhurst case after he mother lobbied endlessly & turned out to be a badly thought out total disaster-with all kinds of things most broad minded adults would consider pretty tame fare potentially turning people into criminals. It is the same argument as murders etc being blamed on violent mainstream films, video game, people watching WWE etc-total bs, used by defence lawyers & various lobby groups to try to downplay guilt & push their agenda/morals onto everybody else. It is very hard to define 'extreme' *advertiser censored* as well due to different peoples view & a poorly defined legal definition. We must not also forget a lot of 'extreme *advertiser censored*' is women dominating men & women dominating other women & consumed by women in large numbers.

The reality is these people will do these things regardless-people did not have access to Hollywood Films, video games, *advertiser censored* etc until fairly recently in history & yet since the beginning of time things like this, the rape & murder of children etc has been happening. 99 out of 100 people will consume all of these things & see it as escapism & fantasy & they will never try to recreate it in real life, the other 1 will know full well it isn't real as well, but do this stuff & then blame it at trial.

A picture is building of him from a long way back. Probably his preference for brutal sexual *advertiser censored* meant he didn't have the kind of personality or social skills to have girlfriends easily (or didn't actually want girlfriends, just "experiences"). Got married in his 30s perhaps as a cover for his secret lifestyle, so he seemed to be a respectable family man with an educated wife. Notably used online dating to find his wife as well (not that unusual except it was abroad - where nobody knows him). The advantages of a wife from another country are numerous. She would be naive to English culture and not know a lot. If he married someone locally, he'd have a lot more "contacts" via marriage who might "pick up" something about him or gossip to his friends about him etc. It was all part of a secret, devious life he wanted to keep hidden. The report yesterday about other officers being investigated from the Whatsapp group he was in was chilling - one of them still worked at Dungeness where he'd been before, a couple at his work at the Met, one from another place he'd worked before and one from another Police Constabulary. Sharing "discriminatory and/or inappropriate" content.

"An investigation into the conduct of five officers from three forces and one former officer who allegedly sent discriminatory messages as part of a Whatsapp group between March and October 2019.

The mobile phone messages were discovered during the police investigation into Ms Everard’s murder.

Three of the serving officers are with the MPS, one from the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) and one from Norfolk Constabulary. The former officer was previously with the MPS.

They are being investigated for gross misconduct for allegedly sending messages of a discriminatory and/or inappropriate nature, and for allegedly failing to challenge the messages sent by the others."

What's app group is disgusting but not surprising. What's annoying is that the papers reporting this with such outrage are the same ones that complain when certain comedians that ply racist, homophobic, misogynistic vile material are cancelled by venues

It’s heartbreaking to think how terrified she would have been. The journey to Dover, helpless and handcuffed and he would have had the car locked. If she had been screaming and pleading with him, it would have irritated him. Does anyone think that he gave her some kind of tranquilliser or drug to make her sleep after he got her in the car?

could be another twisted part of his character that enjoy her screaming and pleading for life some of these sick people get off on that usually kidnappers would the gag the victims did he kill her within in those early hours or the next day?

Maybe once he got a bit a further out of London he gagged her. Maybe tied her legs together with the velcro straps that were found.

Does anyone with knowledge of London if they area he was driving that night is known for sex workers who walk the streets?
He circled around Kensington, Earls Court, Battersea Bridge.
Maybe his original plan was too abduct a sec worker but none were out so he spotted Sarah, maybe thought she was a teenager.

Yes- judge says Velcro likely used for restraint, she already was handcuffed so Velcro maybe ankles. The picture doesn’t look that big a piece though - Velcro can only be used in position can’t get hands on to open it though

I think it might be her build/height he liked also - I see from all the clips coming out now he was pretty short

I think possibility he took photos/video , possibly just for his own use , inspired by the *advertiser censored* he was into.

I haven't lived in those areas, but from what I know absolutely not. Kensington (mostly, aside from West Kensington) is a REALLY nice area with many posh people living there and expensive houses. I've been in Battersea/Clapham a bunch of times later at night around that time and never seen anything like that either.
