The body of a young teenager was discovered in Torquay three months ago - but police still do not know who he was and how he came to be there.

Police were alerted that a body had been found on land at an unconfirmed location in the town by workmen on October 26, 2020.

Some clothes and a bar of soap were the only items found with the body which is believed to be a young man due to his height and sized clothing.

He is described as having been 162cm (5ft 3") and a thin build. He was wearing Slazenger jogging bottoms aged 11-12 years, a size small white sleeveless vest From Primark, a size XS black Firetrap bomber jacket, trainer socks and size 6 Nike trainers.

His clothes put me in mind of how our local traveller boys might dress but I can't reconcile that image with a discarded child. I wonder if this young boy may have been running away from his community for some reason if he was a traveller.
I wish there was a picture of his face.

Poor soul, the staining looks like blood, imo. Is he wearing an undershirt but no shirt over that, just a jacket?

Couple of things i find unusual about this case:

1. Until recently I had never even heard of it so its barely been in MSM but you would think there would be an appeal to find his family.

2. No cause of death mentioned anywhere.

3. He must not match any missing persons or would've been identified?

I don't really know what to think, surely if someone was missing a child it would be reported? But that's a good point about the possibility of being from the traveller community, I hadn't thought of that. I did wonder if perhaps he may from another country which is why there's no missing persons report in this country?

Hopefully he had been identified after latest appeal.
