Misty has requested and been ordered to be given a public defender. This is on the Putnam County Clerk of Courts site.

I believe that when they all relized that Fields sent out that cease and desist letter then Fields was fired and Misty is going on the assumption that LP is going to do what she wants and that she is the one in control.

I also believe that LP will stick by the original offer that he made. Misty gives him information that brings Haleigh home and he will post bail for her and Tommy. As long as anyone is on probation then the request would have to be made to the state that they want to relocate to for any of them to move.

I don't believe for a minute that the courts in Putnam or St. Johns counties are going to let Misty or Tommy leave the county with the pending charges and trials that they have coming up. Too big a flight risk there.

I understand that's the case, it's only listed on 2 of her charges, not the others. Would there be any legal rationale for that? Any legal eagles that could weigh in?

Was her last court date for just two of the charges? I am not sure what her last court day was for, but it could have been the additional two charges, and the remainder of the charges will be updated on 3/31 when she goes to court again? I'm just guessing here.

I am not sure how any of this works, I do know that Misty has court March 8th and then she has court again March 31th.

At the same time, the state’s solicitor general has filed a response to a request by the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers to stop the CCCRCs from handling public defender conflict cases. That response argues that the FACDL request for a writ quo warranto is baseless and that the legislature has the authority to create the CCCRCs to handle criminal conflict cases, among their other duties.

The legislature earlier this year, citing rising costs of hiring private counsel, created five CCCRC offices, one in each district court of appeal jurisdiction. The new agencies are charged with handling conflict cases from public defenders, parental rights hearings for poor parents, and some guardianship matters. Lawmakers appropriated $50 million for the first year, plus some additional funds for start-up costs.

Sounds like Shoemaker won't be around that day. Postponment. I was hoping for a Trifecta that day and Ron, Hank Sr. and Misty would all appear in court.

It's a slick tactical maneuver from what I read. He can't receive any important legal mail at the time he is unavailable, so the court has to wait till he is available to serve him notice on anything. Looks like it hold the courts up.....again. Isn't rc due in court next week?..LOL

Is mr cummings facing any legal charges on the assault? Or has Shoemaker managed to get that dropped or thrown way back on the courts like Baez did? Baez pleaded he needed to time to prepare that case...LOL...Puhlease! the whole case was on tape. However he managed to postpone it and little kc never had to go to the big house for it. Looks like these Defense Attorneys ALL play the same song.

Found this:

a "Notice of Unavailability" will go a long way to prevent sudden motions or deposition settings, etc. when you plan to be out of town for more than a few days.
