AMERICAN FORK, Utah, Aug. 9, 2022 (Gephardt Daily) — An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday night for an 8-year-old boy who police say was abducted in the American Fork/Cedar Hills area.
The child has been identified as Lorenzo Linam. He’s described as 3 feet 6 inches tall, 40 pounds, with sandy-colored hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beach-theme button-down shirt, khaki pants and black Nike shoes, according to alert.utah.gov.
The Utah Department of Public Safety tweeted about 11 p.m. that the child’s life is in danger.
Police say the suspect is Danny Sihalath, 29, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Sihalath is described as Asian or Pacific Islander, with sleeve tattoos on both forearms. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and dark tennis shoes.
Police are looking for a red Acura TSX SE with Utah license plate No. 2S2NP in connection with the Amber Alert. The car has a missing front bumper and grill, with damage to the driver’s side window.
Anyone with information about the Amber Alert is asked to call the American Pork Police Department at 801-822-2969 or dial 911.

Age discrepancy: Following article gives Lorenzo's age as 7 and article linked above gives his age as 8. Official Amber Alert (next post) says that mother says his age is 5.

AMBER Alert canceled for 7-year-old boy out of American Fork
Update - Around 3:00 A. M. Wednesday morning it was announced that the Amber Alert was being canceled and that the child had been located safely.
